#1 Dad

Hello scrappy friends, today I have a  Father’s Day card for you.  Where has the year gone already?!?
I had a blast making this card because I really couldn’t decide what to put on it (female cards are just so much easier to make Smile  ) so I just kept adding to it. Hope you find some inspiration to make a card for your dad, grandpa, uncle, husband…..etc.

Let’s Make a Card…

Start with Kraft card stock as your base that is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. Cut a piece of heavy card stock just a bit smaller, stamp background, distress ink edges.  Cut a strip of blue card stock, use distressing tool along edges, lay it on an angle and attach to background piece, trim corners. Now attach to Kraft base.

Now lets start piling on the embellies…. Letters were cut from the Cricut Basics Font using patterned paper. The bread tag, flowers, wheelbarrow and sign were cut from the Walk in my Garden cartridge. Keys are fussy cut from the patterned paper.

Letters were distress inked as was the bread tag then added to card with foam adhesive. Keys were put together with an eyelet then attached to the card with a scrap of natural twine. Hand written “ luv u “ on sign. Wheelbarrow was attached to card while the flowers were inked, dry embossed and attached to wheelbarrow.
Liquid Pearls, Stickles and Mosiac Tiles were then added to give it some sparkle.

Back of card was cut with Cricut Basics Font sized to 5 1/2 inches. Distress inked the edges, score a small section at the top of the number and attach only the small section to the base of the card back. ( I really hope that made since to you…this is why we have pictures for examples). Attach the number sign to back of base card after you distress ink the edges.

Lots to look at on this card.  Smile
