Hello friends, I have a graduation card today that contains a small gift (the tassel is a key holder).  Are you ready for all the graduations this month? Since they have achieved it, whether it is high school, college or kindergarten…don’t they deserve an extra special card for all their hard work?

Let’s Make a Card…..

Power up your Cricut and cut a rectangle 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches. Cut another the same size then cut  a rectangle out of your card that measures 1 7/8 by 5 1/8 inches as shown. Now cut one more card front (of a different color cardstock) the same outer size but cut this rectangle 1 5/8 x 5 inches. You will want to use the school colors to really make this card one the recipient will keep forever.
Also cut a rectangle 2 1/8 x 1 1/2 inches. Cut another rectangle from a different colored cardstock at 2 x 1 3/8 inches.
Run the large rectangle through your Cuttlebug/embossing machine to make a Polka Dot impression.
Run the top layer of your card through the Cuttlebug/embossing machine to make the clockworks impression.
Run the small rectangle through embossing machine to make the Congrats impression.

Assemble the card as shown using foam adhesive between each layer of the card. Attach the sentiment with glue. Slide the key ring between the top two layers of card and attach a foam adhesive square to the back of the tassel so it stays in place. (recipient can easily remove key ring by lifting up and out).

Thread two hat pins with coordinating beads and color pearl head to match card colors (I used Copic marker) . Slide pins behind sentiment. Use white gel pen for accents around the impressions of clocks on the card front as desired.
Now attach all of this to a base card cut from very heavy cardstock (I use watercolor paper). This keeps your card from warping when you are using numerous or heavy embellishments.
