Sand between our toes… by Penny Ward 8/16/2012

briefcase

Hello scrappy friends…..
I challenge myself once in a while to clean off my craft table by using the embellishments I have piling up there ( I know you have a pile on your table also, so don’t deny it). The embellishments you see in this album were just hanging around my table gathering dust.
My grandson had his first trip to the beach, and I wanted to make a small album for his mom and dad. This cute little album has pictures as well as space for journaling.

Get out your Cricut and your glue and let’s make a fun picture book.

1) Using the Stand and Salute cartridge, I cut a briefcase/suitcase at 6 1/2 inches from white card stock. Shadow is a bit larger and also from white card stock. Inside trim for suitcase is a bit smaller and cut from Kraft cardstock. (you will want to cut two of each of these for a front and back of your album )
Briefcase was inked until I had the desired effect I wanted.
Assemble together, faux stitch and punch 2 small holes on long side for tying together.

2) Using the Cricut, you will want to cut out a name for your album, ink and attach to front piece.
(I welded my letters for easier attaching).

3) Cut thick patterned paper at 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 for your pages.
(I glued two pages together from different patterns to make the page really sturdy).

4) Attach photos and embellishments as desired.

Penny this creative gift would make any parent smile! I really like how you assembled the piece capturing treasured moments and leaving space for "mom and dad" to add some personal journaling thoughts.
