Happy Birthday Dad

Hello there....

Today is my dads 89th birthday.  woohoo!!!

Happy Birthday Dad!

One of his favorite pictures of me on his digital frame is this shot with my grandson, so I figured I would just make a handmade frame and he could see it anytime he wanted instead of waiting for the digital to shuffle around again.

I love die cuts that are the same color as the background. To distinguish the "you", I just applied Pico Shimmer and just look how it stands out!

a BIG happy

Hello, hello...

Playing in a couple of challenges today with this "happy" little creation.

So loving my Silhouette Cameo and how I can make a custom outline of any die cut. I just love how the "happy" die cut looks so striking against the eBrushed background.

I used Wausau Stardust paper for the die cut, but there is so little of it, you don't get the effect of the confetti pressed into the paper. (you can barely see bits of red on the two p's. :)

Challenges Entered:
Sparkle & Shine  -  sketch
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday  -  Make background

Let's go Shopping:
Simon Says Stamp:  Love This stamp set
Winnie & Walter: Digital die cut
Authentique:  Suave 12 x 12 pad
Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko:  Memento Bahama Blue, Danube Blue, Paris Dusk. Versafine Deep Lagoon, Majestic Blue inks

Recycled Christmas Card

Hey there.....

The challenge at Jingle Belles is to use something recycled on a new Christmas card.

You probably already know that I save Christmas cards that have been sent to us.
Here is a card sent by my Aunt Linda last year:

I knew I would reuse the sentiment panel somehow, and I really like the layout, so I pretty much just CASed the original card.

I fussy cut the sentimental panel, added a shiny gold ribbon behind it as well as two strips of green card stock that I sprayed with Cottage Ivy Fireworks. Edges were inked and base card was inked with Delicata Golden Glitz (the best gold metallic ink on the face of this earth).

Save your Christmas cards...the possibilities are endless for recycling!

Challenges Entered:
Jingle Belles  -  recycle

Let's go Shopping:
Old Christmas card
Gold ribbon
Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko:  Cottage Ivy Fireworks spray, Delicata Golden Glitz ink, Memento Desert Sand, Peanut Brittle & Rich Cocoa inks

eBrush Flowers

Hello....

Playing today with my eBrush. I just love this little handy tool, works with just about any marker out there.

The challenge this week at City Crafter is to CASE this card by Kirsty:

I simply went with the flower theme and the yellows and greens for my creation.

On white card stock I used a flower stencil cut with my Silhouette Cameo, then eBrushed with Copic markers.
Stenciled a second flower to fussy cut and pop onto card with foam adhesive. irRESISTible Pico Shimmer was applied to this flower.

Challenges Entered:
City Crafter  -  CASE card

Silhouette Cameo and cut file for stencil
Copic markers
