Recycled Christmas Card

Hey there.....

The challenge at Jingle Belles is to use something recycled on a new Christmas card.

You probably already know that I save Christmas cards that have been sent to us.
Here is a card sent by my Aunt Linda last year:

I knew I would reuse the sentiment panel somehow, and I really like the layout, so I pretty much just CASed the original card.

I fussy cut the sentimental panel, added a shiny gold ribbon behind it as well as two strips of green card stock that I sprayed with Cottage Ivy Fireworks. Edges were inked and base card was inked with Delicata Golden Glitz (the best gold metallic ink on the face of this earth).

Save your Christmas cards...the possibilities are endless for recycling!

Challenges Entered:
Jingle Belles  -  recycle

Let's go Shopping:
Old Christmas card
Gold ribbon
Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko:  Cottage Ivy Fireworks spray, Delicata Golden Glitz ink, Memento Desert Sand, Peanut Brittle & Rich Cocoa inks
Faux jewels

Thanks for stamping by today.....

oh my gosh, that is too funny, my aunt sent that very same card this year and i saved it, too; i nearly used that pretty label shape on my 2nd card! i'm not sure it would've been as lovely as what you've done here, tho! thanks for joining our earth day fun at JINGLE BELLES! <3

Great save with that panel and it does make a beautiful card. That gold ribbon is one of my favorites to use too!
