My Happy Place

Hey, how's it going?.....

I love the challenges at Scrapy Land and this weeks...was a challenge!!!
I am just not a Steampunk kind of crafter, but at least I gave it a shot.

The background is stamped with Envelope Pattern using VersaFine Majestic Blue ink.
The Woodgrain stencil was eBrushed with Copic markers.
I then cut an opening on each panel and used a lighter to burn the edges.

A scrap of Acrylic was used to cover the backside of opening and sentiment was stamped with StazOn ink.
Keys were die cut and inked with Delicata Golden Glitz, Bronze Burst and Celestial Copper.
Distressing tool was used on card edges and then a small section of corner was rolled.

Scrapy Land  -  Steampunk w/ die cut

Thanks so much for stamping by....

Great Steampunk card. Sometimes we have to try something a little different and you did a great job. Love the combination of patterns and the burned edges. So creative to make this into a shaker card and the embossed die cut keys are a super embellishment. Thank you for joining us at Scrapy Land Challenge #22.

You did a great job Penny! This theme was definitely out of a lot of people's comfort zone - but that's what a challenge is all about, right?! I love how you burned the edges of the various layers - so clever. Thanks for sharing it with us for the Scrapy Land Challenge.
