Something for Soledad

Happy Mother's Day weekend.....

My mom is in Heaven and I certainly do miss her, there is so much I need to tell her in the two years she has been gone.
However, there is a young lady that lives down the street from me and I call her my Daughter in Love. She and my son have blessed us with two beautiful grandsons.

She really is the best Mother I know. She constantly does things with her boys instead of parking them in front of a TV. In fact that don't even have TV service. They chose to be active with their children.

I wanted to make her a card to let her know we love her so much.
My son couldn't have asked for a better partner in life.

I took the negative from the die cut Sylvan Sprig and used it as a stencil.
I mixed a little Iced Pear Gelatos with Whipped Spackle and smeared it over the stencil. I then used the positive of the Sylvan Sprig to anchor my Viola Sprouts flowers that I die cut from White card stock.
I had to get some Orange on the card because that is her favorite color, so I squirted a touch of Liquid Pearls Pumpkin for the flower centers.

A stamped sentiment and eBrushed the opposite corners of the base card.

Penny, your card is absolutely gorgeous and she will love it. This very happy, positive relationship hopefully makes it a little easier to deal with your loss. We never know what kind of impact, large and small, our gestures or efforts have on someone else. Perhaps she has some losses of her own, and with this beautiful card will feel even more a part of your family.

Happy Mother's Day Penny,

Carol Jones
