Boo

Hello my scrappy friends  Can you believe the holidays are right around the corner?!? Since my children are grown I don’t usually bother with Halloween, but I saw these adorable bats and I just had to do something with them.

So gather up your Scor-Pal, card stock &…….

Let’s Make a Card…..

boo 3

Let’s start with a Black card base measuring 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. Die cut a small oval (no, don’t throw this piece away, set it aside to use on another project). Cut a piece of yellow card stock just a bit smaller than the base card. Score this piece every 1/4 inch, then turn the card and score again every 1/4 inch.

boo 1

You should end up with a grid pattern. Ink this section as desired with Peanut Brittle. Die cut with a bit larger oval die directly over the same spot where you die cut the black card base.

boo 4

Take a scrap of white card stock and lightly ink with Gray Flannel, attach to back of black base card opening. With foam adhesive, attach the yellow card stock to the black card base.

boo 5

Die cut flourish from black card stock, paint with Glossy Accents. Let dry. Attach to yellow card section as shown, add “tickets” and flowers.
Color and fussy cut two bats, attach to oval opening with foam adhesive. Add black “candi” dots to upper left side of card.

I hope you have a "Boo-tiful " day and Happy Halloween !!

Paparazzi Jewelry

Paparazzi

Have you heard of Paparazzi Jewelry? A co-worker of mine has started her own jewelry business and I wanted to share it with you. Paparazzi Jewelry is where fun meets fashion at only $5 for each piece.
Look at the great selection of necklaces, earrings, etc. on her website www.debsjewelryshop.com, but for a sneak peek I have also posted a couple of necklaces to give you an idea of the selection she has at her online store.

Unbelievable at only $5. You couldn't find these prices at the big box stores or anywhere else really. Very fashion forward with trendy colors and accents. You will absolutely love this jewelry and at these prices, you can afford to accessorize every outfit in your closet.

Check out Deb's website here...and happy shopping.

4) Make accordion rosette by cutting 1/2 inch strip of white card stock. Stamp strip with sentiment and ink. With Scor-Pal, score strip every 1/2 inch, fold back and forth, glue ends together, squish together and glue a scrap of heavy card stock to back of rosette, let dry, then add a faux pearl to center. Attach rosette to hot pink ribbon as shown.

5) Make banner with Cricut or Silhouette (or the old fashioned way of using scissors). Stamp and heat emboss sentiment on banner, then ink the left side. Attach to card base with foam adhesive.

Hi….

Hello my scrapping friends…here today with a really simple card. Sometimes a card has more of an impact when you keep it simple.

Get out your Cricut, inks and glue and………………

Let’s Make a Card

Start with a card base of black card stock measuring 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. Edge the outside of card base with gold ink. Set aside.

Cut a piece of white card stock the same size and ink until desired. ( I used Crushed Olive and Broken China). Edge with black ink.

Grab your favorite font cartridge and start applying the letters in alphabetical order until you have the desired effect for a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch card.

Have you discovered Cricut Craft Room? There is just so much more you can do with your cartridges at this free site.  I LOVE it !!!!!!!!!!

Anywhooooo……………    Ink this piece in a pretty pink, cut a scrap of black card stock just big enough to fit behind the H I  letters, and edge with black ink.

Tie a coordinating ribbon and knot.

Assemble card on an angle as shown.

Add Liquid Pearls and butterfly for accenting.
