Operation Write Home White Challenge # 9

Hello my card making friends…I didn’t get a lot done this weekend as I played with my grandsons at the cottage. However, I did want to get this last card up on the blog before I leave for my Moms today.

The ninth challenge at Operation Write Home for their Virtual Party was to make an all white card with at least 3 layers. I am also entering this card into the Sketch Challenge.

I cut the main focal point and two tiny flowers with my Cameo, colored the sentiment with a Copic marker. Dry embossed around the main panel with Scor-Pal and used the Scor-Bug for the vertical panel. Added a ready made flower, some Liquid Pearls and a Pearl stick pin.

Hope you have a really crafty week and as always…

Operation Write Home-Washi Tape #8

I’m Baaaaaaacccckkkkkk.

For the Washi Tape challenge at Operation Write Home. I am also entering this card in the Focal Point Homework. I think the focal point is the Flowers and Leaves section of the card.
My son however thought it was the sentiment.

I am hoping you will leave me a comment, and let me know your thoughts.

Made the card with Heavy weight white card stock (Gina K Designs). Added Filmstrip Washi Tape (Queen & Co.). Die cut Leaf Flourish (Cheery Lynn Designs) and added Black Roses (Michaels). The sentiment (Dazzle - Pink by Design) was stamped with Versafine Black Ink and heat embossed with Clear powder.

This challenge was a sketch using a piece of 12 x 12 patterned paper. That in itself was a challenge, as I have not purchased that size paper in two years. So…..this is very old paper.
Had to cheat a little with the flower (it is plain light blue card stock), but I must say that I do love the light blue and chocolate brown color combo. Finished the card by coloring white pearls with a Copic marker.

Operation Write Home - My True North #3

Another challenge at Operation Write Home.

Use a diffuser with your embossed card.

I made my diffuser by cutting out an oval from a piece of card stock that is 5 x 7 inches. Cut 5 of these with a Silhouette Cameo, then glued them together to make a small stack.

Place the “diffuser” where you DON’T want the embossing and run through your Grand Calibur/ Cuttlebug with this sandwich combo:
A Plate
Folder
Diffuser
C plate

Operation Write Home - Zig Zag #1

Operation Write Home is having a fun

at their blog this weekend. The first challenge was to use Zig Zags.

The challenge to myself this weekend is to use up things that are sitting on my craft table. Papers I stamped but not happy with, embellies I made but were maybe the wrong color or size for the project I was working on…you get the idea, because you have a pile of these sort of things on your table also.

Onto my card….

Inked up background stamp with every green color Memento makes and stamped. Sentiment was die cut and then inked, attached to a scrap of Vellum. All pearls started out white, then colored with Copic markers to match. Attached the panel to Dark Green card stock.
Easy Peasy…done!

Key to my Heart

Entered into the challenge at The Rubber Buggy.
Hi again,  wow…two posts in one day!
I have never made a card that has no stamping or inking…at least I don’t remember any.
This was really fun…and quick!!!!

This card was totally done with my Silhouette Cameo. I added Pewter distress stain to the lock and key and clear glitter with just a hint of red to the bow. I am really loving this paper bow but not sure it would snail mail very well.
Glossy Accents was added to the tiny heart (which is the cutout from the key).

Color my World

Hello friends….Playing along at OWH today with their sketch challenge. I am pretty sure there are stamps with images and sentiments that I could have used for my card, but being inpatient, I just made my own with a little help from Google (for the crayon box) and  Printshop.

Printed the image twice so I could pop the sentiment with foam adhesive.

Hope you are having a really crafty day.
