Tag with a Twist

woohoo to the weekend!!!!

Playing along today at Ellen Hutson's challenge:

I used Sandy Allnocks tag as inspiration:

Beautiful sky colors, snow on the ground, a couple of barren trees and a wonderful white forest creature.

I have a confession to make...... I really don't get the tag thing I see all over the internet. Yes they are pretty, but unless you give lots of gifts to people, what do you do with them?

So......I couldn't stand it...I had to implement this tag into a card.
Forgive me!

Now this makes me happy.
A wonderful tag adhered to a card with the same background of beautiful colors and snow.

Loving the sparkly snow effect.

(so the tag would lay flat, no embossing paste was used on the card base where the tag would be adhered)

Challenges Entered:
the CLASSroom: 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist

Let's go Shopping:
Ellen Hutson:  Merry & Bright stamp set
Reverse Confetti:  Tag me die set
Mama Elephant:  Winter Wonderland stamp set
Penny Black:  Tagged die set
Simon Says Stamp:  Stitched Slopes and Hills die set
Craftwell:  eBrush
Copic markers
Glitter Ritz
The Twinery:  Twine
Kreinik:  Metallic cord
Embossing paste

Joyful Tag

Selected as a Favorite of the Week at Split Coast Stampers.

Hey , hello & hi......

Cruising around the web and came across a really fun challenge called 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist at Ellen Hutson's....OK so I am late to this party, but isn't that fashionable? Better late than never?

The challenge is to make a tag inspired by one on the Ellen Hutson Blog.

So..... I chose the tag made for Day 4 by Kelly Alvarez:

What you can't see in this picture is that she made the Aqua and White background from strips of scallops adhered in rows. She added a really cute wintery animal with a scarf.

My background is rows of die cut Chevrons and a cute wintery animal with a scarf.

See...great minds think alike!

Look at that wonderful shine on the Holly (painted on with Pear Tart Fireworks) and his hat has Marvy Liquid Applique for dimension.

Challenges Entered:
the CLASSroom:  12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist

Twinkle Tag and Welcome...

Hello and happy Friday....

It has been so gloomy here that my pictures are just not coming out correctly. Wanted to get this post up today, so I just went with the not so perfect photos.

Playing along at a couple of challenges today with this happy little snowman.

I masked a portion of the bottom and right side edges, then swiped the ink across the card stock. Die cut tag, stamped and colored snowman.

After die cutting the snowflake, I added Marvy Liquid Applique to just the tips, let dry, then puffed it up with a heat gun. How stinkin' cute?!?

Challenges Entered:
The Card Concept:  Snowman, Tag or Wintery  I would say my card is Clean & Layered
CASology: Cue word is Old  (I am going with the stamp I used is OLD...it's from 2011) :)

Let's go Shopping:
Penny Black:  Let it Snow stamp set
Simon Says Stamp:  Melody Snowflake die, Stitched Rectangles die, Bundle of Shapes die
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  Memento Luxe Rhubarb Stalk & Olive Grove inks
