Thank you CardMaker Magazine & Welcome

Hello my friends...

Just wanted to say a big Thank You to CardMaker Magazine for selecting my artwork to appear in their Spring 2014 issue. Inks by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko were made to look like watercolors. Stamp is by Penny Black.

Also in the same issue were these three little cuties...

All sized  3x3 inches, for tucking into a lunch box, or maybe into a bouquet of flowers.
Stamps by Avery Elle.

Thanks again to the wonderful team of people at CardMaker!!!

BFF's

Hello...how are you today?

I love to color...do you?
Some of the cutest images I have found online are at Tiddly Inks.
Wryn and her friends are just so adorable.
I am playing along today with the Tiddly Inks challenge to make a creation for a Birthday.

I just love this image of Wryn and her BFF Emmy...
The rest of the card was made with some washi tape and sentiment is by WPlus9.

My Dad Wears Pink

Hey crafty friends....

Are you shocked at the color of this card for my dad?
Well don't be.
Ever since my double mastectomy in December 2013, my dad has been wearing the button you see below on a daily basis. My sister Debby made a button for everyone in the waiting room (and there was a room full), he has yet to take his off.
(the graphic for the button is in memory of our brother who passed away in July 2004...he loved Smiley's and was hearing impaired...now you know the rest of the story).

So...Onto the card...

The Avery Elle challenge this week is to make an Ombre card :

and after finding this paint chip...I just went with it.

The edge of the card has been stenciled with modeling paste, then spritzed with Angel Pink & Wedding Dress irRESISTibles.
Sentiment was stamped and heated embossed.
White gel pen dots were added to the pretzels (they needed some salt) and the beer bottle was layered with glitter glue and Glossy Accents.

Center of card was also spritzed with Wedding Dress irRESISTibles ( kind of looks like he spilled his beer) and I left the text in the upper right corner so dad could see it was made from a paint chip.

Let's go Shopping:
Paint Chip (Lowe's)
Stamp; The Man (Avery Elle)
Stencil: Texture Mesh (Memory Box)
Inks & Sprays: Memento luxe Rhubarb Stalk ink; Angel Pink & Wedding Dress irRESISTible sprays (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko)
Clear embossing powder (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko)
Worn Lipstick Stickles (Ranger)
Raspberry Twine (The Twinery)
Modeling paste

Happy Birthday

Howdy friends...

I am on the Imagine Crafts Blog today using Vertigo...what is that you ask? Vertigo is a thin plastic card stock that has different shaped prisms in it. Apply ink and they become really visible. Plus you can die cut Vertigo.

Edited to add: Jintyoo7 ( I can't reply directly, you have that blocked at your end) asked if the Vertigo can be stamped on. The answer is YES! I would suggest using StazOn ink because it dries so quickly and won't smudge...for the impatient type...like me!

Your sneakies are above so you will want to click on the banner below to get the full reveal as well as the supply list and tutorial.

I {Heart} U

Happy Friday people.....

Looking for a challenge to enter this week, it had to be the one at Reverse Confetti. Use Navy, Lime & Yellow on a creation:

(Navy & Lime is my favorite color combo).

Playing with the new irRESISTibles by Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko... you are going to love the new Pico irRESISTible...such precise control. I used the Dandelion spray on my card and the Shimmer Pico on the Heart (Shimmer, shine....bye bye Glossy Accents)

I used the new stamp set called Class Act, as well as the matching die for the "box" around the alphas.  The torn paper die is called Office Edges, all by Reverse Confetti.
Blue & Lime washi tapes (My Mind's Eye)
Memento Luxe inks in Nautical Blue, Love Letter & Pear Tart (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko)
Heart punch (Darice)
Lime Green Embroidery Thread
Enamel dots (Doodlebug)

Hope Butterfly for Good Wishes

Hello my crafty peeps.....

Another pink, hope, thank you card was needed for a wonderful organization that sent me the most beautiful scarf to cover my hairless head.....at least I don't have to worry about bad hair days!

I hope you're not getting tired of all my pink cards. It seems like I receive some kind of pink gift every day.
I must admit...this part of the disease is quite FUN!
If pink is not your favorite color, I suggest you not get Breast Cancer. You get inundated with pink everything, pins, scarves, shoes, shirts, mugs and on and on....so glad I am a pink lover!!!!

anyway....
Good Wishes will send a scarf to anyone you request that is enduring hair loss due to Breast Cancer treatments.
Just go to their online form (click the banner below) and request one for yourself (if you are going through treatment), a friend or relative. Your loved one will be so thankful you did.

This butterfly is actually a digi stamp by Hero Arts and I have added the "Survivor" text to her wing.
Honeycomb edge embossing folder (Cuttlebug)
Memento Luxe Rose Bud ink (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko)
Stamp is from the Hope set (Paper Smooches)
Glossy Accents & Rock Candy Stickles (Ranger)
Score Board (Scor-Pal)
Hat pin and beads (Darice)

Lucky to Have You

Hello my crafty peeps...

Playing along today at Avery Elle

Easy Peasy!!!

I love this new stamp set and thought it would be appropriate as St. Patty's day is this coming week.

The clover stencil and intricate banners were cut with Silhouette Cameo.
Clover stencil was inked with Memento Luxe Pear Tart & Olive Grove.
Banners were sprayed with irRESISTibles Cottage Ivy spray.

Stamp is Needle Little Love by Avery Elle.
Brads are from Michaels
Enamel dots are by My Mind's Eye.
Ribbon is by May Arts.
I mixed several embossing powders to give it a more Olive color with Sparkle.

This card is also entered into the Avery Elle May Guest Designer Challenge.

Edited to add: This card is also entered into the Stencil with Style challenge at Moxie Fab World.

Liebster Award - Paying it Forward

Let's Pay it Forward

I have the honor of being nominated for a Blog award from my crafty cyber friend Chris
I was totally shocked and elated by this wonderful surprise. Thank you soooo much!
 Yay me!!!!

This award is all about getting to know new crafty friends and perusing their blogs for new ideas and to get your mojo into high gear.
Part of the process is to answer a few questions about yourself, then to select a few blogs I visit and nominate them (thus ...... paying it forward ).

So, here is the part about little old me:

1. Tell me your favorite three supplies you use most?
Memento Luxe Inks, Ebosser, Imagine Crafts Mat (no scrapper/card maker should be without one...they don't stain...just wipe with a baby wipe!  LOVE!!!!)
2.   How long have you been making cards?
4 years
3.   What do you do with all the cards you make?
Give to friends, family and Operation Write Home
4.  What is your favorite technique to use when making cards?
die cutting, stamping
5. What are your favorite color combo's to use?
Lime/Navy & anything Teal
6. How long and what inspired you to start blogging?
My first purchase was a Penny Black stamp about 4 years ago. Googled the company name to find more cute stamps, and oh, they have a blog. Fell in love with designers Elizabeth Allan and Jill Foster. Learned so much from them, that I decided to give it a try. ( I asked Elizabeth for advise on getting cards published in magazines...and my Artist Resume is over 40 cards now...Thanks Miss E.). I was also asked by Penny Black Inc. to be a part of their Inaugural Stamp Squad in 2013 with four other talented artists....Highlight of my card making life!
7. How does your family handle your craftiness?  Do they approve?
My boys are grown but when they visit they know they will find me in my lab (their word for my studio). Husband just wants me to be happy...love him!

I would like to nominate some very special blogs/bloggers/friends for this award also:

Kimberly at Wienerhoneymooners
Taunya at Daisies Girl (she is having a giveaway until 3/21/14...just sayin')

Nominees: Should you choose to accept this award, please answer the same questions as above. Just copy and paste into your post and type over my answers.

This award is about Paying it Forward to bloggers with a following of less than 300. It's a great way to thank those that came before you and help others attain more crafty friends/followers.

Hey friends....
Does this little cutie look familiar? A few months ago this card and four others were chosen as winners at Moxie Fab World.

Those are some awesome names to be linked with!!!
