Happy Birthday Judy !!!

Woohoo...it's Friday!!!!

A good friend has a birthday in a couple of days and ...she is a brilliant card maker.
Do you feel funny about sending handmade cards to someone who also makes them? Does your family and friends refrain from getting you cards because you make them?  I love sending cards because no two are ever alike, and love getting them, because they give me new ideas (store bought or hand made).

I had to come up with something unique that I have never seen her do in her artwork.
So......How about a floating butterfly?

This card is made like a box so it folds flat for mailing, but when you push in the sides of the card, it turns back into a box shape....and it stands with no problems.

With a little magic from some acetate, you have a butterfly that appears to be floating inside the box.

Happy Birthday Judy!!!
Hope this is your best year ever!!!!
Sorry...couldn't help but use a Penny Black stamp on this card.
(She has her own column on Saturdays on the Penny Black Blog...Runs With Scissors. Not only does she make the most fantastic cards, her humor will leave you smiling all weekend)

Let's go Shopping:
Stamps:  Letter Background (Penny Black), Embroidered Bouquet (W Plus 9)
Inks: Radiant neon Electric Pink, Yellow & Green. Delicata Silvery Shimmer. irRESISTible in Angel Pink (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko)
Die: Isabella & Pippi Butterflies (Memory Box)
Crackle Embossing Folder (Darice)
Enamel Dots (My Mind's Eye)
Faux Pearls (Michaels)

Sympathy with Flowers

For Operation Write Home Blog Hop...Click here.

Hello...

Wow, what a busy day this has been.
I am posting this card just under the wire at Avery Elle.
Their challenge is:

I have a lot of their sentiment stamps, but I just knew I didn't have any flowers stamps....WRONG!
After I downloaded their Freebie flower stamp and made the card, I discovered the sentiment I wanted had tiny little flowers included in the set...oops!

Freebie Flowers (Avery Elle)
Sentiment from Oh Happy Day stamp set (Avery Elle)
I colored the flowers with Memento markers Summer Sky, Danube Blue and Dandelion (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko)
Butterfly die is Flutters (Penny Black)

Fly

Hello friends.....

In keeping with the watercolor technique which is all the rage in the paper crafting world.....I just have to tell you how absolutely I am loving this background made with Radiant Neon inks.

Smooshed ( is this a word?) the inks on my craft mat, spritzed with water and swirled my watercolor paper until I was happy.
LOVE!!!!!

Playing along at Reverse Confetti using this color palate as inspiration:

Water-colored the paper crane also.

I used RC Arrow die, as well as the Paper Crane stamp set.
Radiant Neon inks - Electric Orange & Pink, Memento Luxe Rose Bud (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko)

Stampendous and Imagine Crafts Header

Welcome to a week of fantastic collaboration between IMAGINE Crafts and Stampendous! We have to admit that our two companies were made for each other and we're proud to have shared a long relationship of working together.  After all, what are stamps with out ink?  The projects created by our artists this week feature IMAGINE Crafts Radiant Neon™ inks paired perfectly with coordinating colors of Fran•táge Color Fragments from Stampendous, along with some of their newest stamp designs and Stack Art kits.

Prizes galore for participating in the Blog Hop this week!

We'll be giving three prize packages of 3 Radiant Neon inks and 3 Fran•táge Color Fragments (we'll choose your colors). There will be a bright crafting future ahead of you! Each day we’ll post that day's participating artists.  Visit their blog and leave a comment by midnight PST May 25th.  We ‘ll randomly select three different blogs from the five days, then randomly draw one commenter from each blog.
