Simon Stamptember Sneak

Seasons Greetings....

On the last day of August, I have started making my Christmas cards.
Simon (or rather Heidi at Simon Says Stamp) sent me this really cute Pile of Gifts die to wet your appetite for what is coming tomorrow in their Stamptember release.

How adorable is that pile of gifts?!? I see different colors of paper & pattern papers behind that die in the future.

HOW STINKIN' CUTE!!!

I have paired silver metallic card stock with navy (I just love that combo) and just a touch of white.
The brad is by My Mind's Eye.
You scan the QR symbol with your Smartphone for the greeting.

Go ahead, it will scan through the computer screen.

Can't wait to see what else is in store for us September 1st at Simon Says Stamp.

Hoping you are having a crafty day and
thanks for stamping by!

Police & Fire

Hey, hey, hey.....

You just never know who is going to see your cards when you post them to your blog and Facebook. I had someone contact me through a friend on FB wanting to buy my cards for her specialty store.
How cool is that?!?

This is one of the cards that will be in her shop. Maybe some Fireman got a promotion, maybe he/she retired. Maybe they saved someones life.

and let's not forget about the Police Officers in our community...can you guess what kind of shop this gal owns?
I have had so much fun making these cards this week...can't wait to show you the rest later this week.

I am entering these cards into the challenge at Case Study. Find someone in the blog hop and base your card on their creation. I loved the card by Jocelyn Olson, and how you could barely see the doily peeking out of her card. So cute!!!

Challenges Entered:

Let's go Shopping:
Penny Black:  Dazzlers, Gratitude stamp sets
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  Memento Nautical Blue & Love Letter inks, White & Iridescent embossing powders

Nautical Birthday

Hello and hi.....

I needed a "manly" birthday card this week, so I decided to combine it with a couple of challenges.

Using the color inspiration from Reverse Confetti:

and

the Lawnscaping cue word:

I used two stamp sets from Reverse Confetti, but the thing I am most excited about, is using PicScan with my Silhouette to cut out the anchors. Now, anytime I stamp the anchors on a card, I have the perfect die cut for that stamp.  No more fussy cutting!!!!

WOOHOO!!!

Challenges Entered:

Let's go Shopping:
Reverse Confetti:  Happy Harbor & Oliver Owl stamp sets
Spellbinders:  A2 Bracket Borders One die
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  Watermark ink, White embossing powder, Gold embossing powder, Vegas Gold All Purpose ink
Lawn Fawn:  White/Gold twine
Button from stash

Have a super duper day and.....

Thanks Teacher and Welcome

Hey friends....

It is back to school time, so I thought I would join in the fun of a couple of challenges with this theme.
That summer sure did go fast. My oldest son and his wife both teach middle school and the teachers have already gone back to work. Yikes, where is the time going?

And because school starts at the end of "Summer", I am playing along at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

Easel was die cut with Silhouette Cameo, then embossed with a wood grain folder.
Tiny flags are washi tape and flowers were cut with the new PicScan feature of my Cameo.

Challenges Entered:

Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  Memento Luxe Wedding White, Angel Pink, Radinat Neon Electric Coral & Pink and Watermark inks

Happy Birthday Debby

dee-da-dee-da-doe-doe....

I so wish I had installed music on the blog for this post only (otherwise it is very annoying).
I few years back I sent my sister one of those musical cards for her birthday and it was a hamster singing...dee da dee dee doe doe ......it has now become something of a tradition. She still has the card, and surprisingly the battery on that music card still works. (Guess the $6.00 was well spent)!!!
A lot of years later, I am a card maker.
so........

Happy Birthday Debby !!!!

I thought this image from Mo Manning was super cute, so this is the card I popped in the mail.

Hope you are having a super duper day...
