Put the Lime in the Coconut

Hidey ho friends...

I was wanting to play at Reverse confetti with this color challenge:

I started out with yellow limes, then started airbrushing them with a green marker. Once I added the leaves, they reminded me more of unripe strawberries. huh.

This is the most darling stamp set with limes, lemons, oranges and now when colored red...strawberries. So versatile!

I am also playing at Case Study using this card as inspiration:

I spy...a banner, a bow and embellishments hanging down

and lastly at CASology using this cue word:

After coloring the limes, I then swiped on a thin layer of Stickles Stardust, giving a little shine to the card.

Challenges Entered:
Reverse Confetti - Color Challenge
CASology - Flutters
Case Study - Card inspiration

Let's go Shopping:
Reverse Confetti:  Fresh 'N Fruity stamp set
Imagin Crafts/Tsukineko:  Memento markers Dandelion, Bamboo Leaves, Peanut Brittle. Memento Luxe Dandelion. Versafine Onyx Black ink

Imagine Crafts & Authentique/May Arts Blog Hop

AP_MayArts_Badge

Welcome to a crafting extravaganza all week featuring myself and other Artists In Residence from IMAGINE Crafts, along with the Design Team Members of Authentique Paper and May Arts Ribbon.

hehehe...we were asked to use an Authentique Art Print in a picture. Being a little self-conscious about my really short hair after chemo for breast cancer, I went with a disguise. :)

 Let's make something pretty:

Starting with your base card of 5.5 x 4.25, spritz the long folded edge with Lilac Posies Fireworks. Also spritz a scrap of white card stock, trim end into fishtail, set aside.

Cut white card stock just a bit smaller than the base. Lightly mark where you want your banner openings with pencil. Die cut four banner openings.  Cover back of this panel with foam adhesive, then adhere strips of four different Authentique Radiant papers.

Wrap the card front with May Arts checkered ribbon. Adhere to base card. Attach spritzed banner that has been wrapped with fuzzy twine, Add "Hello" sticker and fuzzy twine bow. Add faux colored pearls and dimension dots made with Lilac Posies irRESISTibles Pico.

And because I am completely in love with this Authentique Radiant 6 x 6 pad,
I just had to make another:

All supplies are the same as the card above, with exception of:
Fireworks Bahama Blue & irRESISTible Tangelo used for "dots" embellishments.

Get Well Zach and Welcome

Happy Friday!!!!

I don't know that I ever showed the inside of a card before, because to be truthful, I don't usually do anything with the inside.
However...this one is too adorable not to feature.

The son of a good friend is fighting cancer (he is 18 years old) and it is just not fair. He had recently started college at UCF and within a month, he is spending most of his days at All Childrens Hospital.
My heart and prayers go out to this family.

So I had to come up with a manly card, but I wanted something fun too.

Using papers from Authentique and a get well file from the Silhouette Online Store, I hope this card brightens his day.

I would love if you could add Zach to your prayers today....
and thanks for stamping by.

Let's go Shopping:
Authentique:  Suave 12 x 12 pad
Stampin' Up:  Word Play stamp set
Get Well die cut from Silhouette
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  Memento Sand, Rich Cocoa, Watermark ink, White embossing powder

CardMaker & Poppy Stamps Blog Hop

Welcome to the CardMaker & Poppy Stamps Blog Hop.

I had so much fun playing with these dies. I use a Craftwell Ebosser and the Poppy Stamps dies went through with no problem. I only had to make one pass on the intricate Theo Butterfly die using 110lb card stock.
Woohoo!!!

I die cut the Puffy Cloud Border, then used it as a mask with Versa Magic Aspen Mist ink. I also inked the edges of the butterfly. Tiny white dots are made with irRESISTible Pico Embellisher in Wedding White.

The Maple Leaf Border die is perfect for all of your Fall cards and scrap pages.

The card front was die cut and popped up with foam adhesive. The panel behind that was finished with Metal Gilding Flakes, as was the sentiment (Gorgeous shine!). Tiny twigs are just card stock that have been cut very close to the blade of my Fiskars ProCision cutter...how cute are they?!?

I just had to make something else with the Leaf Border die:

I die cut the leaves and used the negative as a mask for Ferro Graphite Embossing paste (LOVE) to add dimension to this card. Left over leaves were adhered with foam adhesive.

Don't forget to comment on each stop along the way. There are prizes involved after all.
If you find a broken link, you can always return to Cardmaker Magazine Blog for the complete hop list.
Your next stop on the hop is:
