Inspired by Jill

Hi......

Last week I watched a video by Jill Foster over at Penny Black. She was watercoloring leaves and giving great instructions as always.
Does this woman have mad coloring skills or what?

I loved her card so much I wanted to create something similar.

Of course I didn't have the exact stamps (do we ever?)...so I used what I had in my stash.

The watercolor panel is actually a 4" Inchie Square.
I stamped it with a script background, the leaves & berries.
Flicked a little brown paint after watercoloring image, then stamped the sentiment.

Embossed the matching panels, mounted each layer with foam adhesive as I knew I was not going to use this as a card, but rather a piece of art.

Go check out Jill's video. She just makes everything look so easy!

Thanks so much for stamping by.....

Let's go Shopping:
Inchie Arts:  4" art square
Penny Black:  Eloquence stamp set
Stampendous:  Leaf Spring stamp
Purple Onion:  Late 1800's Script stamp

Waiting with a Friend

Happy weekend.....

I saw the new challenge at CASology was using a FLAG on the card and remembered something I had colored a few weeks ago.
I made this little cutie a while back when I was on a coloring kick. I hope I am not the only one out there in craftyland that colors a bunch of images, then takes forever to put them on a card! :)

I think this little girl must have dressed herself, as her socks do not coordinate with her outfit.
She was colored with Copic markers and a second whirygig was stamped, colored and fussy cut for a little dimension.

Pretty pattern papers at the top and a few Pico dots leaving lots of white space for this Clean And Simple card.

Challenges Entered:
CASology - Flag
Mo's Challenge Blog - Thanks  (ok...so there is no greeting on the card. That only means it could possibly be a Thank you)

Let's go Shopping:
Mo Manning:  Waiting for the Parade digi image
Copic markers
Authentique:  Sauve 12 x 12 pad
Spellbinders: A2 Curved Borders One
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  irRESISTible Pico embellisher Wedding Dress

How stinkin' cute is this new stamp and die set from Reverse Confetti?!?!
I figure with my DH being a Police Sergeant, I will get a lot of use with this new collection.

Playing along at Reverse Confetti with this sketch challenge:

Now that I have made one of these donuts, I doubt I will decorate them any other way. How adorable is the white Flower Soft used for the icing?

Krafty Christmas

Hello and happy Friday!

So I am looking for a challenge to enter and I find Reverse Confetti (of course) wanting us to follow this sketch:

I also found this inspiration photo at The Card Concept:

I start my main panel of stamping and heat embossing...darn I stamped it crooked. Cut another piece of Kraft card stock and tried again....same results!
It now dawns on me that it is an optical illusion because of the stripes. Get out my handy dandy T-ruler...yep, it's straight...but it doesn't look straight! May have to rethink stripes from now on.

I love the look of this Clean and Graphic card!

Challenges Entered:

Inspired by Alice Wertz

Howdy doo.......

Another day of being Inspired By.....Alice Wertz.
She colors so beautiful, but when I saw her creation on the Purple Onion Blog....well you know, I just had to have a go at it!
Pure genius on using the adorable Penguin as a letter on a Christmas card!

I am hoping right now she is flattered that I would want to use her idea on a card of my own.  :)

How stinkin' cute is this little guys hat? I added Marvy Liquid Applique, let dry and puffed it up with a heat gun.
