Painted Flower

Selected as a Favorite of the Week at Split Coast Stampers.

Hello and happy Monday!

Playing today at the Card Concept Challenge. It is their One Year Anniversary, so I went with that theme for my creation.

I love to color and Jill Foster at Penny Black inspired me to purchase watercolors and try my hand. Needless to say, I don't have her vision, but I am still pleased with my attempts so far.

After the paint dried I added irRESISTible Pico Wedding Dress dots and a few Shimmer dots to the stamens. Roughed up the edges of the card, matted and roughed up again.
I would call this a Clean and Simple card.

Challenges Entered:
The Card Concept - Photo Inspiration

Let's go Shopping:
Penny Black:  Sentimental, Love Chapter and Tiger Lily stamps
Sakura Koi Watercolors
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  irRESISTible Pico Wedding Dress & Shimmer, Memento Paris Dusk ink

I would CALL this card a work of art!! That flower is most gorgeously done!! The coloring of it us perfection and those dots you added were placed in just the right spot!! Distressing the edge and then distressing the mat also - inspired and gives beauty a bit of character!!
