Special HUGS

Hello there...

Posting this as a last minute entry into the Winnie & Walter challenge.

Using this card as inspiration:

I loved all the speech bubbles and sequins!!!

Using a speech bubble die from Lil Inkers, I embossed it all over my card instead of stamping as Shay has done on her card above.

I also paired the tiny hearts from the Audrey Cutaways with my sequins to tie into my Ampersand in the greeting.

Pastel Christmas

Hello....

Ok, so when was the last time you saw a pastel Holiday card?!?

Playing in a challenge at Simon Says Stamp Flickr with this one.

Watercolor paper was stamped and heat embossed with the holly branches, then QOR watercolors in pastel hues were added.
A little ribbon and double mat were added for more pastel goodness.

I based my card on this card inspiration from CASE-ing Christmas:

I love the flourish background which I achieved with my Holly branches, and the wrapped ribbon.

Grateful

Selected as a Favorite of the Week at Split Coast Stampers!

Hello, hello...

I am so wishing that Fall is in the air (Florida has one season...HOT!), but in the meantime I just love playing with these new leaf stamps
 from W Plus 9.
How absolutely gorgeous is that sentiment font?!?

Playing today in a couple of challenges including a brand new one called
I see Teal, Yellow, Black & White

White area of card was stamped with leaves and outlines using new inks from W Plus 9 (oh so gorgeous Fall colors). Sentiment was stamped on this panel also, knowing I would cover most of it up with the Black panel.
As you can see, just a tiny bit of that sentiment is stamped over the leaves.

Black panel sentiment was stamped and heat embossed.
A fussy cut leaf and a few enamel dots finished this card nicely.

Believe in yourself

Hello there....

I just received the new Silhouette Curio and couldn't wait to make something with it.
I saw the challenges at both Curtain Call and Sparkle & Shine used the same inspiration photo (how in the world does that happen?), so I just had to play along:

I went with the theme of back to school for the sentiment...LOVE!!!

The Mason jar and sentiment were debossed and drawn with the Curio...it looks like letterpress.
Can I just say...COOL!!!!!

Flowers were die cut, paint brushes were cut with Curio then all were colored with Copics.
Glossy accents on the "paint" and a little Stardust on the flowers.

Though you can't see the texture the debossing leaves, it feels wonderful.!!!!

Hugs & Welcome

Happy Friday.....

Super busy around the house this week with no time to craft...Say What?!?

However.....after making a Brown flower card last week, I just had to come back with an Aqua one.
I absolutely LOVE this Lily stamp from Altenew!!!!

Stamped onto watercolor paper using Simon Says Stamp inks, then touched the edges of flowers with a tiny wet paintbrush to move some color around.

Base of card was stamped and edges inked.
A little twine, a few sequins...WALA!!!

Altenew:  Layered Lily, Sentiments & Quotes, Hennah Elements
Simon Says Stamp:  Spring Rain, Audrey Blue, Scuba & Teal inks
Pretty Pink Posh:  Sparkling Clear sequins

Watercolor Lily

Hey...

I have never seen a Brownish Lily, but I say "why not?" The Create Something Catchy Challenge is looking for watercolor cards, and I am thinking there might not be anything "catchier" than a brown flower.

It happened to work for the inspiration photo from Altenew:

Lots of gorgeous browns, golds and woodgrain!

The Lily was inked, misted and stamped onto watercolor paper. Though you can't see the shimmer in the picture, I used Delicata Golden Glitz as my "paint" around the flower.
Left edge was stamped and inked also.
Woodgrain pattern paper and the oh so lovely Doily fabric ribbon was added.

It might not be realistic, but I like it!
