Best Friends

woohoo and happy Friday.....

Fall is supposed to be in the air. I live in Florida...it is still in the high 80's.
I want to open the windows and smell fresh crisp air!!!!

So I have to make my own FALL...on a card.

Playing today at Ellen Hutsons Pin-Sights Challenge using this photo as inspiration:

I see Cinnamon everywhere..pancakes, with apples & sticks.
So I went with the different shades of yummy Brown/Orangey/Reds.

Using four diffrent cardstocks with a sliver of metallic gold between each one made up my base card.
I stamped the Bokeh Dots with Memento Rhubarb Stalk

I stamped the wonky circles from the same stamp set onto Vellum. Cut out the circle, sliced it to the center, then fan folded it to make a half medallion.
Sentiment from the Amazing Women stamp set (one of my all time favorites) and heat set in Gold

Halloween hugs

Hello, hello...

Halloween is not my thing, but wanting to play in the challenge at Winnie & Walter, I had to come up with something.

Using this card as inspiration:
Ok...so the only thing on my card that resembles this one is the black card stock...shoot me!

I embossed the Black card stock then lightly added White ink to the raised area.

Die cut "hugs", added a few strips of pattern paper and a strip of spider paper down the side (see...like the inspiration card, mine too has a spider).

Love you more

Hey there....

I couldn't let this month go by without playing at least once at Reverse Confetti.

In following this Sketch:

I tried not to take anything literal...so no rectangles, squares or circles.

It is also my goal for the rest of this year, to use up some pattern paper pads.
Am I the only one that buys these adorable pads, then just lets them sit there until the perfect idea comes along?

Yikes...at this rate, I can't justify buying any new ones!!!

I used two pieces from the Authentique Original pad (woohoo).
Stamped Lime Green paper with SSS Jellybean ink and So Stripey stamp set, then die cut into Arrows.

Jeans pocket was cut with Silhouette Cameo then embossed with RC Woodgrain die.

I say this  "Love you more" to my dad all the time, so of course I must send this card to him. :)

Another favorite sister and her hubby are celebrating an Anniversary today.

Hopefully I mail this on time.  :)

Using a couple of Penny Black stamps, markers and watercolor paper.
Two edges were inked and Delicata Golden Glitz was splattered across the card front.

Blue Christmas

Selected as a Favorite of the Week at Split Coast Stampers.

Hello, hello....

If you are new to my blog...Welcome. If you are a regular visitor, you know by now that my favorite colors are shades of Blue.
Personally I have never seen a Blue Poinsettia, but I can dream....and make art!

Just playing today with this one...unless of course I find a challenge that fits the bill. :)

No one does more beautiful flower/foliage stamps than Penny Black.
I wish I could own each and every one of them!

To make this card I sprayed adhesive to a dictionary page and adhered it to White card stock.
Gesso was added to tone down the text.
Stamped Poinsettias in Blues and Teals using a Misti stamping tool.
Embossed just about an inch at the top of the card, then inked the edges.
Sentiment was stamped with StazOn Jet Black to adhere to the gesso.

Christmoose

Hello....

Sneaking this one in at the last minute on a challenge or two.

Have you seen the Moose Crossing stamp and die set by Memory Box?
Too adorable!!!

Trimmed my little moose so he is hanging onto the edge of the picture frame.
A little washi tape and a brad, along with the embossed sentiment makes this shaker card sooooo easy to make.

Joy

Hello....

I need a lesson in photographing White.
The top portion of the card is actually embossed, yet can you see it? NO!

Entering this one into the Hero Arts Holiday Challenge and Scrapy Land embossing Challenge.
This card also works for the Jingle Belles Challenge...woohoo!!!

When making the card, I thought I had grabbed a green cardstock....well, it is actually Teal.
And I like it!

After diecutting the curved edge, I then added a touch of glue and some pretty Diamond Dust.
How stinkin' sweet is that soft Teal pearl?!?

Wood Crate Transformation

Hello, hello....

With a lot of DIY projects going on around my house, I found myself in need of a DVD holder.

Come on over to the Imagine Crafts blog and see how I transformed this wood crate into a pop of color in my family room:
