Colored Florals

Chosen as a Favorite of the Week at Split Coast Stampers!

Hello....

I have been on a coloring kick this past week and I just received this new stamp, so I had to play with it again...

Wowzers on the kind of paper you select to color on. I used Copic Express It paper and the color goes on real smooth but what I really noticed was the crispness of the stamped greeting.

I stamped the image and greeting with Versafine Sepia, then colored and inked edges.
Tiny buds were coated with Bamboo Leaves Pico (not really excited about how that part turned out, but I can live with it, Should have done just a few of these instead of all).

Challenges Entered:
CASology - Birthday

Let's go Shopping:
Penny Black:  Delicate Florals stamp set, Sentimental stamp set
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  Versafine Sepia ink, irRESISTible Bamboo Leaves & Wedding Dress, Memento Luxe Dandelion, Morocco & Rhubarb Stalk ink

Fancy Butterfly

Woohoo for the weekend.....

I don't normally like to welcome newbies to the blog on Fridays by using a Sympathy card, but it could not be helped...I just had to show off this gorgeous butterfly!

The butterfly was cut with my Silhouette Cameo and acrylic card stock (is that what you call it?)
You know...clear sheets of acrylic you use for shaker cards and such.

I then stamped the butterfly with StazOn Teal Blue ink.

I am soooo loving this effect!!! So you know I made several, in different colors.

Challenges Entered:

Let's go Shopping:
Penny Black:  Gratitude & Eloquence stamp sets
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  StazOn Teal Blue ink, irRESISTible Pico Wedding Dress

Beauty is in the Eye...

Howdy doo........

Playing with watercolors again. I know...it's different, but there is just something about it that appeals to me.

I colored the stamp with Memento markers, misted and stamped it onto misted watercolor paper. You end up with a colorful mess that somewhat resembles the stamp.
Wait for the paper to dry...yeah right...warm it up with a heat gun...so much faster.
Now stamp the paper again with the same stamp that has been inked with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Another birthday card done ..I am so on a roll with my new years resolution...well one of them anyway.  :)

Challenges Entered:
CASology - Birthday
Simon's Work it Wednesday - New Technique

Let's go Shopping:

Hope & Fight

Hey, how are you?

I have a confession.....I used a tag die for embossing the front of this card...and I hated it!!!
So....
I took my handy dandy craft knife around most of the edges of the tag to make a window...

...and stamped another tiny message inside.

Still playing with my new favorite product Amplify! I love the puffiness in all its 9 colors (did I tell you that the White one can be colored with anything in your stash...say WHAT?!)

Don't know if this is one of my most favorite cards, but I kinda like the "door" opening.

Another Breast Cancer encouragement card today.
I did this card in mostly Neon Coral, and I like the effect.

Puffy Butterfly

Hey, how are you doing?

I have had a request for several Breast Cancer cards, so you will be seeing them in the following days here on this blog.

I know when I was going through my chemo treatments, it was so nice to receive real happy mail, not just an email. There is just something exciting about opening that envelope as you know there is a surprise of a handmade card inside.

I have kept these encouragement cards fairly simple as I will be mass producing some of them.

Are you loving all the puffiness on the butterfly.....or do you not like it at all?

I am having so much fun playing with Imagine Crafts new product called Amplify!

Let's go Shopping:
Darice:  Inspiration embossing folder
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  irRESISTible Pico Wedding Dress, Neon Pink Amplify!
Memory Box:  Vivienne Butterfly die
Sheer ribbon

Power of Pink

Hello .....

I have been requested to make SEVERAL Breast Cancer cards, so get ready to enjoy all the pink in the next few weeks.

Nothing says I care more than sending someone an actual card...not an email, not a tweet, not an instagram, not a Facebook IM....
a REAL card, delivered by the post office!

If there can be a best part of having Breast Cancer, this was mine....slitting open what I knew held a handmade card. Someone cared enough to make and send a card to little old me.
Try it, put a smile on someones face!

I used a die to emboss the doily on the top left of card. Die cut the circle portion of the Gold Circles One die, stamped the sentiment.
The butterfly has been coated with Imagine Crafts new Neon Pink Amplify!, small dots of Pico Wedding Dress & Neon Pink scattered over the card front.

Lets go Shopping:
Spellbinders:  Gold Circles One die
Cheery Lynn Designs:  Nautical Wheeler Doily
Verve:  Pink Power stamp set
Penny Black:  Flutters die set
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  Memento Luxe Rose Bud ink, irRESISTible Pico Wedding Dress, Neon Pink, Amplify! Neon Pink, Sheer Shimmer Sparkle spray

Painted Flower

Selected as a Favorite of the Week at Split Coast Stampers.

Hello and happy Monday!

Playing today at the Card Concept Challenge. It is their One Year Anniversary, so I went with that theme for my creation.

I love to color and Jill Foster at Penny Black inspired me to purchase watercolors and try my hand. Needless to say, I don't have her vision, but I am still pleased with my attempts so far.

After the paint dried I added irRESISTible Pico Wedding Dress dots and a few Shimmer dots to the stamens. Roughed up the edges of the card, matted and roughed up again.
I would call this a Clean and Simple card.

Challenges Entered:
The Card Concept - Photo Inspiration

Let's go Shopping:
Penny Black:  Sentimental, Love Chapter and Tiger Lily stamps
Sakura Koi Watercolors
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  irRESISTible Pico Wedding Dress & Shimmer, Memento Paris Dusk ink

Bright Flowers

Hello....

Playing along today at CASology with their challenge to use a NBUS

(Never Before Used Schtuff)

and while I am at it, I will also enter this challenge:

So, I have used the stamps, the Copics, the Pico embellisher, however I did receive a nice prize package in the mail from Simon Says Stamp and it had some of their card stock in it.
I buy my card stock at Michaels...I am cheap that way.
The SSS card stock is really nice. Great colors and the weight....nice and thick. I have been buying from Simon for a few years now and have never bought their paper...I am thinking that is about to change. :)
So my NBUS is the card stock.

This one layer card is perfect as a Clean And Simple. So bright and cheerful with lots of white space.
My brand new (oh, another NBUS) FV2 Neon Purple Copic decided to gush a bunch of ink on my flower, so I had to "fix" the problem with a couple of Pico Wedding Dress dots.
SAVE!

Challenges Entered:
CASology - NBUS
Virginia's View - Clean Slate
NBUS Challenge #3 - Darnell is the woman who actually coined this term

Let's go Shopping:
Simon Says Stamp:  Island Blue card stock
Penny Black:  Sentimental stamp set
Altenew:  Persian Motifs stamp set
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  Memento Luxe Bahama Blue ink, irRESISTible Pico Wedding Dress
Copic Markers
