Hi.....

A couple weeks ago I saw Alice Wertz use this image on a card and of course I just had to have it.

Fur Baby Birthday

Howdy doo...............

So I am playing today at Avery Elle in their Stripes Challenge.

The pattern paper of course has stripes, then I heat embossed a few stripes on the "3" balloon. Even the twine has stripes.

Vintage Rose

Selected as a Favorite of the Week at Split Coast Stampers.

Hello, hello....

I am playing today in a few challenges.
The challenge at eBrush was to use a provided stencil...who doesn't love FREE?!?
I am also playing at CASology in their BLOSSOM challenge, City Crafter with their inspiration photo and at NBUS Challenge having never used the stencil or the sentiment stamp (woohoo, a two-fer).

First you need to download the flower stencil here

I then cut watercolor paper to 5.25 x 4 inches. Watercolors were used for the background. I then eBrushed the flower using the free stencil.

Stamped the vintage letter background and finally stamped the sentiment. Edges are inked in black.
I absolutely love this one layer card!

Challenges Entered:

Be Strong

Woo-Hoo...
this card is on the SPOTTED feature at

Hi.....

Is this tooooo stinkin' cute?!?

Adorable stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. When I saw it released a couple of weeks ago, I immediately thought...No! The word Work Out is just cruel and my old body before its time (it really is the meds I have to take), doesn't get much exercise beyond walking the treadmill.
However..... I loved the image of the girl with dumb bells and the sentiments were quite cute and most of them would be appropriate for Breast Cancer Encouragement cards, which I make and give to women at Club Chemo  (ok, ok, it's the Oncology center but Club Chemo sounds more fun).

I stamped the boxing gloves, used Pixscan in my Silhouette software and made die cuts out of them. In love with my Pixscan...you can take any stamp, make a cut file and size it however you like.
Used a little Hope for the embossing and the Silhouette for that tiny 1/4 inch awareness ribbon on her headband.

Just as a service announcement:  Have you done your self breast exam lately?
No....while you are in the shower tonight think of me and this card, do the exam...it might just save your life!

Challenges Entered:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday  -  Things that Fly (since I added the boxing gloves, I consider that fists can fly while fighting)...hehehe!

Now...Let's go Shopping:

Simon Says Stamp:  Work Out stamp set
Paper Smooches: Hope stamp set
Darice: Hope embossing folder
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  Versafine Onyx Black ink, irRESISTible Pico Shimmer
Copic markers
Ribbon
Silhouette Cameo
Craftwell:  eBosser

be happy

Hello and happy Friday the 13th....

So glad you stopped by today.
Playing along in the very first challenge at Ellen Hutson, using her stamps and dies that I also paired with Hero Arts.

I went with an Ombre effect for the wonky circles, then stamped the tiny dots with Delicata Golden Glitz. The card front and card base are also edged in the same ink.

The tags were cut from Navy card stock and heat embossed with Gold and White.

The die cut sentiment is from Ellen's Christmas release....don't you just love being able to use these kinds of stamps and dies all year long?!?

Challenges Entered:
Ellen Hutson  -  Mix it Up
Virginia's View  -  Embossed

Let's go Shopping:
Ellen Hutson:  Bokeh Dots stamp, Merry & Bright die

Thanks Bindy...

Selected as a Favorite of the Week  at Split Coast Stampers

Hello....

I have met some of THE nicest people in this cardmaking, scrapbooking, mixed media world of ours.

Bindy at Crafters Companion went out of her way to help me with something and then....she sends me happy mail!

So I used that very happy mail to make her a card...like she doesn't get zillions of these already, but...maybe she is saving them to wallpaper a room with. Ya never know!

I stamped the flower and butterfly using Memento markers, then lightly touching the stamped ink with water. This is my first time using no actual watercolors, just the markers.
I like it!!!

I shimmered up (a new phrase of mine) the butterfly wings with a bit of water and Perfect Pearls.

Let's go Shopping:
Crafters Companion:  Stamp-It Australia Dreamy Daisies & Once in a Lifetime
Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko:  Memento markers Danube Blue, Dandelion, Bamboo Leaves. Memento inks Bamboo Leaves & Danube Blue, Versafine Spanish Moss, sponge daubers

The background is a stencil I made then lathered it with Creative Medium Chartreuse...I mean really...how gorgeous is that Mother of Pearl look?

Die cut flowers, stamped sentiment, Amplify! for the puffy flower centers and a bow.
