Blue happiness

Hey there, hi there, ho there.....

I love to work with flower stamps and Penny Black has the most gorgeous array to select from.

Playing today in the challenge at Simon Says Stamp, where Anything is the theme, yet they have partnered with Penny Black...and so did I.

Using only three ink pads, I stamped the flowers around the page, sponged the bottom left corner, stamped the sentiment and added my all time favorite embellishment....Pico Wedding Dress.

Easy peasy Mr. Sneezy!!!

New Beginnings

Hey there....

This card was totally fun to make.
This Hero Arts layered Hibiscus is a four step process, but when combined with coordinating inks, it just turns out so lovely!
And after you touch some of the white area with ink on the palm of your hand, you use a wonderful curved die to cut off the ruined portion.
Embellish with sequins in the spots you couldn't die cut away. :)

Die cut Hibiscus was popped up with foam adhesive as was the stamped panel.
Sentiment was stamped onto patterned paper, then a funky box was drawn around it to give it a little something, something.

Summer Fun

Happy hello.....

Another summery card today so I can play in a couple of challenges.
Simon Says Stamp Flickr is looking for a Favorite Technique.
I love using Fireworks sprays to see what I can come up with.

The Fireworks Bahama Blue was just perfect for the ocean waves and the Summer Sky gave a real sheen to my puffy cloud border.

Little Missy and Mister were colored with Copic markers, then I decided he needed a shirt fussy cut from pattern paper.
Glossy Accents was applied to their goggles, mask and the front of their swim rings.

My Happy Place

Hey, how's it going?.....

I love the challenges at Scrapy Land and this weeks...was a challenge!!!
I am just not a Steampunk kind of crafter, but at least I gave it a shot.

The background is stamped with Envelope Pattern using VersaFine Majestic Blue ink.
The Woodgrain stencil was eBrushed with Copic markers.
I then cut an opening on each panel and used a lighter to burn the edges.

A scrap of Acrylic was used to cover the backside of opening and sentiment was stamped with StazOn ink.
Keys were die cut and inked with Delicata Golden Glitz, Bronze Burst and Celestial Copper.
Distressing tool was used on card edges and then a small section of corner was rolled.

love you

Hi there....

Playing today in the challenge at Ellen Hutson using this photo collage as inspiration:

Looks like a lot of Red, White & Blue going on here. Stripes, flags, sprinkles.

I designed my card loosely with a flag in mind.

"Stripes" were made with Bokeh Dots stamp (such a versatile stamp)!
Stitched Rectangles dies for the frame and center, which were popped up with foam adhesive.
Die cut Stitched Star three times and stamped sentiment.
A little thread and a few sequins finished the card.

i heart u

Hey, how's it going?

Stole a few minutes in the craft room between nursing duties to whip out this little love card for my honey.

And look how it ties in so nicely to the "I" challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
&
the Sparkle and Shine Challenge at SSS Wednesday!

The letter "i" and "u" were computer generated.
Using a few different SSS stamps for the hearts, along with Stardust Stickles and Pico Shimmer.

Easy Peasy 10 minute card!

Old Fashion Christmas

Hi....

Another Christmas card to add to my growing pile. This makes me totally excited that I will have the majority of my cards finished before December!
woohoo!!!!

Playing in a couple of challenges today.
Using the sketch from Sparkle & Shine:

and the Old Fashioned Theme from the Jingle Belles Challenge.

I found the Santa Bingo card online...Google it!
I then inked the edges with Distress Inks.
The base card was eBrushed with Copic markers.
The panel between the doily and candle is a background stamp by Penny Black that was stamped and heat embossed with iridescent powder.

Simply Amazing

Hello there....

I love the summery feel of this card, yet it has no Yellow on it.

Playing today at W Plus 9 with their Sketch challenge:

I made my diagonal more exaggerated so you could see the embossed panel in between the flower layers.
One layer is popped up with foam adhesive.

The butterfly is Vellum.
Adding just a bit of color to the back of it so it would "POP" on the card.

Amazing you!

Hello, hello....

While my patient was sleeping (ok, it's my husband recovering from a knee replacement...they can be such babies!) I stole into the studio for a little me time.

New goodies arrived in my mailbox while I was out of town, and I have had so much fun deciding what to play with first.

Using what was left of a favorite Authentique paper pad and teaming it with a new stamp by Reverse Confetti.

How stinkin' cute is the new Woodgrain die panel?!?
