Watercolor Blues

Favorite of the Week at Split Coast Stampers!

Hello....

It is still in the 90's here in Lake Placid, Florida, yet I am sweating away making Holiday cards.

I love the cool blue in this watercolor wash paired with the metallic Gold. Makes me want to grab a jacket. :)

Playing in a couple of challenges with this little pretty.
Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge wants a Resist technique card. To tell you the truth, modeling paste does not do a very good job of resisting. However, the large snowflake in the left bottom corner is done with Creative Medium Blue, and it did a good job of resisting the watercolor.
Score!!!

Are you loving the Delicata Golden Glitz splatters?
It really gives a little something, something to this card.

Hi....

I just couldn't miss out in playing at the Reverse Confetti challenge this month.

Here is the sketch:

Using an all over Green theme and older stamps from my stash will also allow me to play in a couple of other challenges...isn't that convenient?

The White background is a 3d embossing folder (LOVE)!
Green stripes, zig zags, ombre sentiment, Pico dots....
Too much FUN!

Geometric Birthday

Hello, hello...

Needed a quick and easy card for a friend and this is what I came up with after looking at the inspiration photo at Pinterest Inspired Challenge:

Lots of triangles in Pinks with a few Teal ones thrown in the mix.

I used a cut file from the Silhouette Design Store, eBrushed onto White cardstock using Pink and Teal markers.
Die cut triangle, colored and misted it with Sheer Shimmer Sparkle before coating it with Glossy Accents.
Sentiment is heat embossed onto Vellum.

Hope from a Coke can

Hi there....

Ok, so this was an interesting card to make. Wanting to play in the Curtain Call challenge using their photo inspiration, but wanting to do something a little different.

Besides the gold, silver and gingham, my card looks nothing like the inspiration. What my card does have is the Pop, Pop, Pop...as in the sentiment is diecut from a POP can.
Yeppers...I love my Diet Coke!

Silver snowflakes were eBrushed with a Metallic Sharpie.
Diamond dust on the popped up snowflake.

I love the look of the Pop can, now I just need to ask my neighbors to save their "pretty" cans for me.  :)

Grateful for Fall

Happy Friday.....

I hope you have wonderful plans for the weekend, but first I have this oh so easy to make card for you today.

I made this card just for fun. Not for a design team, not for a challenge.
I just wanted to play with a few new goodies.

I stamped the foliage onto watercolor paper. Using Memento markers as my medium and misting with a water spray bottle, gives this gorgeous stamp a watercolor effect.
I lightly touched the edges of the stamped image with a small paintbrush and water to soften the edges.

Die cut edge, stamped right side of card with VersaMark ink and script stamp giving it a tone on tone look.

Lovely sentiment is stamped with VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink.

It is Friday and I would Love to welcome a few newbies to my blog. I so appreciate your visit, your questions and I love reading your comments.

Proud of YOU

Hello....

I had my grandson (age 4) in mind when I made this card, but it would also make a wonderful graduation card done in school colors.
Throwing my hat in the ring at the My Favorite Things SuperStar Challenge with this little cutie:

The strip of ombre stars are eBrushed with Copic markers and a stencil.
A strip of Nightshift Blue card stock here and there, a stamped sentiment, a glittery star and metallic thread makes this card
Easy Peasy Mr. Sneezy!

Happy Holidays

hi....

I absolutely love taking a word and substituting an image for a letter, as I have done here for the word "HAPPY".

Using the MISTI stamping tool made this super easy to achieve along with the wonderful Fill in the Blank stamp set by Avery Elle.

I lined up my card in the MISTI, stamped the "PPY" and heat embossed. Put card front back into MISTI, but slid it over just enough to accommodate the die cut or image, then stamp and heat emboss the "H".

Ornament was die cut, then coated with Stardust Stickles.
The word Holiday came from a stamp set by Penny Black.
A little twine and washi tape for a fun festive card.
Lastly, I added my all time favorite Wedding Dress Pico dots.
