Just Kitten Around with Joy Clair

Hi...

This is the last of the new stamps being revealed this month at Joy Clair.

Just Kitten Around has several images as well as really cute sentiments.

No laughing at my kitten...I am not a cat person, therefore I don't enjoy coloring them either. :)
And I am highly allergic to the little critters...so there!

You know what looks good in person, sometimes screams awful in a photograph....I mean really, look at those paws. Ugh!!!!!

Anyway...enough about my lack of coloring skills on furbabies.

The sentiment alone makes up for it.
Who thinks this stuff up...too cute!!!

Hope you found some kind of inspiration this week with all the new stamps that Joy Clair has revealed.
Be sure to visit the store and let them know I sent you!  :)

In the latest release by Joy Clair called Grow in Faith, I decided to add to my journaling Bible.

Super easy and fun!!!

Watering can was stamped then colored with a Metallic Sharpie.
Flowers were stamped with VersaFine Spanish Moss ink, then colored with Pan Pastels.
Falling water is also Pan Pastels with words stamped with Memento Bahama Blue ink and squiggles drawn with a GellyRoll pen.

So cute and none of the listed supplies bled through the page.
Yayness!!!!!!!

This little cutie could be used for Easter or as I have done here, used for a "puny" card.

This stamp set kind of "cracked" me up with the chick at different stages of development.

The Easter Eggs stamp set comes with chicks, plain eggs, decorated eggs and a couple of sentiments.
Really fun to color!

He has Risen with Joy Clair

Hi.....

Pretty darn simple but it packs quite a punch.

Featuring the brand new stamp from Joy Clair called He Has Risen.

Did you know that all of the stamps have SVG cuts available in the Joy Clair store for only 1 cent?!?
No, really...1 cent

So I die cut the gorgeous cross with my Silhouette Cameo, stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with that yummy Liquid Platinum.

I also die cut each layer with a stitched rectangle die, edged each panel with VersaMark ink and heat set with Liquid Platinum.

For all the simplicity of the card, don't you think it makes a statement?!?

Back tomorrow with another new stamp set...woohoo!!!

Joy Clair:  He Has Risen
Simon Says Stamp:  Stitched Rectangles
Ranger:  Liquid Platinum embossing powder
Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko  VersaMark ink
Silhouette Cameo

Simon Says Stamp Reveal Day

Hidey ho...

It is reveal day for the new "Reason to Smile" release at Simon Says Stamp.

How adorable is the adding stitching on the flowers and foliage of this new set Spring Flowers?

This is a must have stamp set as it contains several whimsical flowers and wonderful foliage to match...all with the oh so cute stitching accents.

I stamped the images on watercolor paper, then just added color around the flowers and stems.
Die cut the long edge with a die I am sure is now no longer available because I can't find it anywhere on the web (guess I should have checked before I made the card).
Poopitz!!!!

Sentiment is from the Big U Words stamp set.

Make sure to check out the whole release at Simon Says Stamp.

Simon Says Stamp:  Big U Words, Spring Flowers
Penny Black:  Letter Background stamp
Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko:  Memento markers, VersaMark ink, White embossing powder
May Arts:  Cranberry twine
Faux Pearl

Happy Easter with Joy Clair

Hippity Hoppity Easter's on it's way.....

Oh poopitz, I have that song stuck in my head now.

Another new stamp release from Joy Clair.
This little cutie called Happy Easter has quite a few images suitable for Easter or Spring time.

You all know how I loath coloring critters, so I just had to put three of them on this card.
What was I thinking?

I inked the background with some Distress colors, then flicked water to achieve those ever so cool spots.
Little frames were cut from my Silhouette Cameo.
I proceeded to die cut and color the critters, adding White Amplify! to the rabbits whiskers and Black Enamel Accents to the chicks eyes.

Did I mention that Joy Clair has SVG cuts to match every image in ALL their stamp sets for just 1 penny.
Holy Cow!!!!

This makes a cute kids card for the holiday.

Joy Clair:  Happy Easter
Silhouette Cameo
Copic markers
Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko:  Memento Tuxedo Black ink, White Amplify!
Ranger:  Distress inks, Salty Ocean, Picked Raspberry, Twisted Citron, Abandoned Coral, Glossy Accents, Enamel Accents Black
The Twinery:  Buttercream striped twine

Thanks so much for stamping by and I hope to see you tomorrow for another new stamp set...

Joy Clair Blog Hop

Hello, hello....

It is Blog Hop day with Joy Clair and you should have arrived here from the wonderful blog of Leah.

Eight new stamp sets this month and along the hop you will being seeing all of them. I have used two of the new stamp sets on my projects today, both in my Bible journaling.

I have to tell you, I am really loving this new way of expressing my art.

To achieve this page I used the new All Things Possible stamp set.
Sky is done with a torn piece of paper for a mask and swiping VersaMagic Aspen Mist ink.
Sea is accomplished with Salty Ocean, Stormy Sky and London Fog inks
Ship is stamped with StazOn Jet Black ink.
Sand is Tea Dye and feet are inked with Peanut Brittle.
Once the top sentiment was dry I used a White Gel Pen to outline the letters.

and because I just could not stop....

Ok...I mean really, how cute is this new Let That Light Shine stamp?!?

Super easy to recreate:

Stamp light bulbs with StazOn Jet Black ink, then color with Yellow Pan Pastels, and stamp word in each bulb. "rays" around the bulbs were done with a Yellow Highlighter and a Gold Sharpie. The chains were a matter of a ruler and a Black Pitt Artist Pen making dots.
I did outline the bottom bulb with some colorful GellyRoll pens.
I drew the Highlighter, colored with Yellow and Orange Pan Pastels.

Then there is You

Hi...

It feels like forever since I have played in a challenge. My time is being consumed by non crafty things. UGH!

Over on the Ellen Hutson blog they are having a Mix Up Challenge with Penny Black.
I just had to play in this one.

Using Distress inks and a Misti stamping tool, made for a quick faux watercolor.

By just touching the edges of the inked image with a wet paintbrush and pulling it outwards, you get a great watercolor effect.
A little strip of Metallic Gold cardstock along the edge and just a touch of color in the upper right corner.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday  -  One layer card
