Aqua Poinsettia

Hello.....

As November is about to become a distant memory, I think I am also winding down on the Christmas cards.
Seems like I have been making them since July.

Today's card is going into a couple of challenges.

Poinsettia was stamped onto watercolor paper with Memento markers. A little Stardust Stickles on some of the leaves and Glossy White Crystal Drops for the flower center.

Falling Snow stencil and Whipped Spackle mixed with Snow Cone Gelatos for the top portion of the card. Die cut on a curve because you know I LOVE that!
Pattern paper from I don't know where for the bottom. :)

Simon Says Stamp:  Falling Snow stencil
Penny Black:  Scarlet Majesty, Believe stamps
Faber Castell Design Memory Craft:  Whipped Spackle, Snow Cone Gelatos
Imagine Crafts:  VersaFine Majestic Blue ink, Memento markers Pear Tart, Danube Blue, Teal Zeal
Memory Box:  Dashing through the Snow die

Autumn Wreath

Hello, hello....

Today I am playing in the Pin-Sights Challenge at Ellen Hutson.
Below is the inspiration picture to guide us in our creation:

I spy with my little eye....Wood & Autumn colors

I love using digi papers to make backgrounds.
The pattern paper industry no longer likes me, as I can print my own papers, never run out of a favorite and there are gazillions to choose from.

The cute wreath is from the Homespun Holiday set and can be colored for any occasion.

I added a bit of sparkle to a few balls on the wreath and Glossy Accents to a few others.

Sentiment is from the Mondo Magnolia stamp set.
It has been stamped using VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink.

Check the Sistahs Blog Hop

Hello, hello....
And welcome to the November Calling All Sistahs Blog hop.

Each month on the 17th, card designers from all over the world create something for your viewing pleasure to remind you to do your self exams and check the SISTAHS!!!!

You should have arrived here from Nora's blog, but if you encounter any broken links, you can always start at the beginning HERE.

This is where I tell you that I have been there, done that.

I had a mammogram in July of 2013, by October of that same year, I found a lump.
YEP...BAD NEWS!!!

A double mastectomy, 6 rounds of chemo and a year of Herceptin treatments.

I am just thankful I did my self exams every month.
The outcome of me being able to enjoy my family and share with you guys could have turned out differently!

Now go....go check those big/little tatas!

In keeping with the Autumn theme, I found these wonderful digi papers online, then added them to a paper doily.

Hope Ribbon was stamped and fussy cut.
Calling All Sistahs sentiment was stamped and heat embossed.
Die cut Sistah from white card stock.

Make sure to comment on each blog...there are three prizes up for grabs.
$15 gift certificates to the CAS-ual Friday's store.
You have until November 19th to make a comment.

Would you like to be involved with this hop next month and help us spread the word?
Let me know in your comment and I will get you fixed up with all the info.  :)

Your next stop on the hop is:

Plaid Christmas

Hi.....

Ok...I am thoroughly obsessed with plaid this year.
It's on my cards, it's in my closet!
I LOVE PLAID !!!

I printed the digital pattern paper with an ink cartridge that needed to be changed.
Those were not the intended colors.
However....I am really liking the purple.

Background was inked with Peacock Feathers, then I stamped the Bible verse from the Luke 2 stamp set several times across the panel with VersaMark ink, heat embossed with White.

Ornaments were die cut and popped up with foam adhesive.
Main sentiment from the Maybe Christmas stamp set was inked with VersaFine Imperial Purple.

Impression Obsession:  Patchwork Ornaments die
Ranger:  Peacock Feathers distress ink
Imagine Crafts:  VersaMark ink, White embossing powder, VersaFine Imperial Purple ink
May Arts:  Grape Burlap String
