Love Card in 10 Minutes

Hi........

With Valentines Day just around the corner, I hope you have grabbed this adorable stamp by
The Project Bin.

Adorable fat heart with dies to match it and the XOXO stamp.
And the oh so cute sentiments that of course go perfectly in the heart.

To make a pretty simple 10 minute card just follow along:

Red and Black cardstocks, a bit of Red twine and some Glossy White Crystal Drops.

Layer Black cardstock onto Red and wrap twine.
Use foam adhesive to adhere to Black card base.

Stamp sentiment with Black ink onto Red cardstock, then die cut heart and adhere to card front with foam adhesive.
Three small dots of Glossy White and let dry.

Tonic Studios:  Glossy White Crystal Drops
The Twinery:  Maraschino twine

Copy this layout and you have a 10 minute card!!!

Using the new In Your Heart stamp and die from The Project Bin:
How sweet are these sentiments?????

Die cut heart from 3 shades of pink.
Put them through an embossing folder for texture and arrange them around your stamped sentiment.

It needed something so I added a bit of a die cut sprig laying on my work table. :)

Card front was finished with Crystal Drops.

Pop all the kernels with The Project Bin

Hidey ho....

So, Denise at The Project Bin designs this adorable stamp and die set:

Being a popcorn lover myself, I get to thinking...
How cute would a popcorn box and card be on the desk of a favorite coworker?!?

Using my Silhouette Cameo to cut the popcorn holder, then stamping the front of the box with Memento Luxe Love Letter ink.

And that oh so cool popcorn.....
get yourself some White and Yellow Amplify! by Imagine Crafts...
you can thank me later!

For the card it is just a matter of a Ticket folder, stamped sentiment and a few kernels of corn.
Too stinkin' cute!!!

Imagine Crafts:  White & Yellow Amplify!, VersaFine Onyx Black ink, Memento Luxe Love Letter ink
Provo Craft:  Ticket embossing folder

Shake, shake, shake the Sistahs Blog Hop

Hey there.....

Welcome to the January Calling all Sistahs Blog Hop.

Every month on the 17th designers from all over the globe come together to give you new card inspirations and remind you to check the SISTAHS!

Today Cas-ual Fridays has collaborated with Pretty Pink Posh to bring you a special mix of sequins  aptly named Sistahood Sparkle.
Light , Medium and dark Pinks as well as Sparkly Clear in a variety of sizes.
It's just a must have for all the Breast Cancer, Valentines, Girly cards you are about to make.
The Sistahood Sparkle sequin mix is available in the Cas-ual Fridays shop now and when they are gone...
they are gone for good!

I knew I wanted to make a shaker, so I took the adorable flower stamp from the Mon Ami set, ran it through my Silhouette PicScan and made a die cut. Obviously I resized it . :)

Front of card has been splattered with paint.

Funky ribbon was found at Michaels.

Stamped my favorite sentiment from the Be stamp set using VersaFine Onyx Black ink.

Now for my story...and I'm sticking to it:

I had a Mammogram in July 2013.
Found a lump in October 2013
You do realize that was only 3 months!!!!!
Cancer can grow and spread sooooo fast.
Make sure to check yourself EVERY month...how about today?!?

Double Mastectomy (because hey, I am not looking to do all this incert bad word again).
Six rounds of chemo.
1 year of Herceptin treatments every three weeks.
Yes I went bald (temporary thing).
Yes I learned to live for the moment.
Yes I learned to appreciate all I have.
Yes, cancer has changed me forever...in a good way!
No...It was no picnic and definitely not for sissies!

So there you have it.
My story and inspiration to remind you to check those Sistahs monthly.

Please click on over to  Gwendolyn Estrada's  blog and see what she has created.
