Legend in Leather with The Project Bin

Hello....

How about a leather look for a card.
Are you in agreement or not?

As I am inking the embossed Kraft panel, I really like the look I was creating with a bit of Distress inks.

The Cowgirl Up stamp set from The Project Bin has several wonderful sentiments to use on cards and scrapbook pages that involve...Cowgirls!

I particularly love this sentiment I have used because ....
Hey...it is so true!!!

Embossed background inked with Frayed Burlap & Vintage Photo.
Sentiment has been heat set then die cut with Stitched Party Banners.
Looped some Natural Jute and added a few rolled flowers.

Provo Craft:  Paisley embossing folder
Impression Obsession:  Spiral Flowers
Imagine Crafts:  VersaFine Onyx Black ink, Clear embossing powder
Ranger:  Distress inks Frayed Burlap, Vintage Photo & Black Soot
Lawn Fawn:  Stitched Party Banners die

I love us!!!

Hi....

I am slipping this in under the wire at a couple of challenges.
One challenge wanted me to try something new and the other challenge wanted a favorite stamp...sentiment from the Penny Black set Forever & Always.

Using a Misti tool, I colored the flowers using Zig Brush pens, misted with water.
In order to achieve that wonderful Rust colored flower, I used Light Pink, then Pink and finally Brown pens.
Ok...so it was a happy accident, but the Pink was just too bright.
Thus...my something new is a new way to achieve Rust! :)

A pretty Satin ribbon and a few sequins...
done!

Penny Black:  Effulgent stamp, Forever & Always stamp
Kuretake: Zig Brush pens
Satin ribbon
Pretty Pink Posh:  Autumn mix sequins

Swirl Flower

Hello, hello....

I had a chance to look at the challenge over at Ellen Hutson and when I saw the inspiration photo, I knew I had to play along.

Just look at all that lovely Aqua !!!!!

Using a watercolor panel as my base, I then die cut/embossed the Stitching Lines.
Did a little smooshing with the panel and Peacock Feathers distress ink.
Bold Blooms was inked, fussy cut and Crystal Drops were added to the swirls.

Grosgrain Ribbons were die cut from Aqua cardstock, stamped and heat embossed.

Loocy with The Project Bin

Loocy, I'm homeeeee...

This is the stamp that made me decide on becoming part of this fantastic design team.
When my hubby walks in from golfing he always says "Loocy, I'm homeeee"

Ok, I mean really! How stinkin' adorable is this sentiment?!?

Just take a look at these sweet sentiments from the Awesome Sauce set for year round card making:

I do believe this was one of the first stamps created by The Project Bin and I LOVE it!!!

A fairly simple card to recreate....
A bit of patterned paper cut into strips and adhered to card front.

The half pom pom is a die cut from Winnie & Walter.

Imagine Crafts:  VersaFine Onyx Black ink
Winnie & Walter:  Lulu Fringe Cutaway
White tissue paper
Pretty Pink Posh:  sequins

With Love from your Sistah

Hello.....
Welcome to the February Sistahood Blog Hop.

Each month on the 17th crafters from all over the globe come together along with Casual Friday's  to bring you new inspiration for card making and to remind you to check the SISTAHS.

Breast Cancer is no picnic...
ask me how I know!

I stamped the large striped background...UGH!
(just use striped paper)

Die cut a White stitched oval and stamp the sentiment from the Girlfriend stamp set.

Itty bitty roses are diecuts, then a bit of Lime string for the leaves.
Finished the card with the Sistahood Sparkle sequins mix.

Now for my story...

I had a Mammogram in July 2013.
Found a lump in October 2013
You do realize that was only 3 months!!!!!
Cancer can grow and spread sooooo fast.
Make sure to check yourself EVERY month...how about today?!?

Double Mastectomy (because hey, I am not looking to do all this incert bad word again).
Six rounds of chemo.
1 year of Herceptin treatments every three weeks.
Yes I went bald (temporary thing).
Yes I learned to live for the moment.
Yes I learned to appreciate all I have.
Yes, cancer has changed me forever...in a good way!
No...It was no picnic and definitely not for sissies!

So there you have it.
My story and inspiration to remind you to check those Sistahs monthly.

Please click on over to Melissa Miller's blog and see what she has created.

Make sure to comment on each stop as there will be
two $15 gift certificates given away to lucky crafters.
Comments close Midnight EST February 19th.

9 Lives with The Project Bin

Happy Valentine's Day....

Have you seen the adorable cat and dog stamps from

Just too cute for year round card making and scrapping!!!

I sprayed my background with a Copic marker and eBrush...
and I am crying because my eBrush broke at this point, but I just went with what I had.

Kitties were stamped and die cut, then colored.
Attached to the back of a Stitched Photo Strip.
And oh those teensy tiny hearts above the sentiment...
LOVE!

Craftwell:  eBrush
Copic markers
Pretty Pink Posh:  Stitched Film Strip
Winnie & Walter:  Audrey die cut
