Carnation & Lace with Crafter's Companion

Hello there....

New goodies in da house and I had to give them a try.

Crafter's Companion has come out with some of the coolest dies for creating cards.
I do believe the idea behind the Yellow die cut above is to actually use two of them on a card so the card opens like a gate....
But you know me....I have to be different!!!

Classic Carnation was die cut using 4 layers of computer paper.
Stamp, color and spritz with water...then scrunch flower and let dry.
Unfold flower, glue centers and scrunch again until you are happy with the look.

Leaves are die cut Vellum and the sentiment is a Foil Transfer Rub On.

This was literally a 10 minute card.

🙋😁💙

Crafter's Companion:  Classic Carnation stamp & die, Foil Transfer, Victoria die, Lattice folder
May Arts:  Lime Burlap String

Cherished with Simon Says Stamp

Hello there....

Are you loving the color combo of Aqua and Purple?
Saw it on Pinterest and had to try it out.

LOVE * LOVE * LOVE

Simon Says Stamp has a new release today called
Cherished.

They were kind enough to send me an advance of the new Heart Mandala stencil.

Using Audrey Blue cardstock, I then stenciled the Heart Mandala with a Spectrum Noir BT5 marker and my eBrush.

The diagonal stripes were also stenciled using SSS Chevron Pattern stencil and Spectrum Noir LV3 marker...again eBrushed. :)

Some pretty Satin ribbon and a few sequins....
I am calling it done.

Craftwell:  eBrush
Spectrum Noir:  BT5, LV3 markers
Ribbon
Sequins

Survivor

Hi....

Had a little time to play this weekend and thought I would enter this into the Pin-Sights Challenge over at Ellen Hutson.

Here is the inspiration photo:

I spy with my little eye...Pink, Blue, Black & flowers

Of course with those colors, my card called for some Breast Cancer Awareness stamps!

Have you seen the new set Ellen and friends designed to benefit
  Breast Cancer Research Foundation?
50% of sales from this set goes to the organization!
Yay Ellen!!!

I myself am a Breast Cancer Survivor. Having walked in those shoes during surgery, chemo and all the lovely side effects, this card will really make someone smile!

Die cut Earrings with Crafter's Companion

Hello.....

Have you ever made earrings from a diecut?

I gave it a try with the new Rustic Cottage Weathered Window die by Crafter's Companion.

Just a matter of die cutting some pretty pattern paper like the Rustic Cottage Collection, a couple of folds, add your earrings and you are done.

How about the same die out of denim?!?

I did add some Fray-Check so the edges wouldn't ravel.

And a bit of Aqua Marine Sparkle Marker for a little something, something!

Calling All Sistahs May Challenge

Woo to the Hoo

The crazy good folks over at CAS-ual Friday's have started a new challenge geared towards Breast Cancer and Encouragement cards.
Breast Cancer effects 1 in 8 women...so you just might know someone who could use a little pick me up card from you.
OR
You probably know someone who has a different illness and wouldn't it be fun for them to receive "happy" mail for a change?!?

Each month on the 18th there will be a new inspiration photo to get your mojo started.

I spy with my little eye.... Blue, Aqua, Purple, Flowers & Lace Napkin

For the background I smooshed Memento Bahama Blue and Danube Blues inks on craft mat, spritzed with water and swirled my white cardstock into it. Let dry when happy with look.

I then stamped this panel with images from the Bold Wishes stamp set as well as the sentiment from the Sassy Smiles set. Danube Blue ink, heat set with Clear embossing powder.

The Aqua doily is from my stash, but that flower.....
Die cut the large Loving Thoughts flower from computer paper 6 times. (I use a Gemini and it will cut all six with one pass).
Stamp each flower with VersaFine Imperial Purple ink and color the flower quickly with a Copic or Spectrum Noir marker.
Now spritz the flower with water (lightly), scrunch the paper up and let dry.
Unravel each flower, glue one layer to the next at center of flower only.
Really scrunch the top layer (it forms the flower center), then scrunch each layer up around the flower center.
Yep...eventually you will be happy with it.

Add flower, die cut leaves from the Posies Fri-die, some twine and a bit of lavender ribbon.

Come on over to

to play along and I do believe there are prizes to be won!

Calling All Sistahs with CAS-ual Friday's

Hello.....

It is the 17th of the month and time for your reminder message to
check the tatas!!!

Don't depend on a mammogram alone to detect Breast Cancer...
take matters into your hands (literally)....
that's how I found mine.

The wonderful folks at CAS-ual Friday's have gathered designers from around the world to bring you inspiration each month...
just so you have something fun to look at while getting our message out.

I love tone on tone cards!!!!
(of course it really takes the guess work out of which colors go together)

💗💙💚💛💜💝💗💙💚💛💜💝

Card is finished with a pretty sheer ribbon, four loop bow and sequins.

Are you like me and have a bunch of sequins that just seem to grow in amount overnight?

I have a new rule about using sequins:
Grab a pinch of sequins, drop them on the card and glue where they land. :)

You have to try it!!!

Make sure to check out the rest of the designers creations today over at

Check out the blog tomorrow for the new challenge...
yes there are prizes to be won!!!

oh, oh, oh before you go, here is a discount code for you. You know, in case you just have to have some of these goodies to create your own encouragement card
