Peaceful Winter

Hi there.....

I have been swamped with Design Team work, but wanted to just play with some new goodies from Penny Black.

Using their new Peaceful Winter stamp set as well as their Antique Frame die, I put this creation together in a short amount of time.

I stamped the scene on Gray cardstock then colored in a bit of the trees with a Spectrum Noir colored pencil.
I die cut the second largest of the Antique Frame from Lime cardstock, sliced in half diagonally to act as a frame.

Easy Peasy Mr. Sneezy!!!

Guest Designing at Ellen Hutson

Hi there.....

I was asked to be a Guest Designer at Ellen Hutson today for her October Pin-Sights Challenge.

This is the inspiration photo:

I spy with my little eye...hanging ornaments and non-traditional colors

Her new release for the holidays is super cute, but it is fun to dust off some older things and put them to good use...especially when you decide you need small ornaments. :)

And love, love, loving the Hinged Alphabet....so many uses!!!

Come on over and play along with the challenge this month:

Calling All Sistahs Challenge

Hi there.....

It is time for another challenge at Calling All Sistahs.

The theme this month ....Pink of course, as it is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month:

I spy with my little eye....Black, White, Pink and Rose colors along with a flower.

The cards we designers create for the Calling All Sistahs challenge are geared towards encouragement for someone who is sick, under the weather or just needs some pick me up snail mail love.

I love stitching on a card...it's just so feminine.

I hope you will join our challenge this month at Calling All Sistahs.

You don't have to use Cas-ual Friday's stamps but if you are the winner, the prize gift certificate is DOUBLED!!!

Calling All Sistahs October Reminder

Hello.....

It's that time of month once again where I remind you to check the Sistahs!

With October being the official Breast Cancer Awareness Month I just had to use a lot of pink on my creation.

Four years ago while showering I found a lump on my right breast.
Insert a bunch of bad words here....

So I became 1 in 8.

Look around yourself today. Count off eight women...one of those will get breast cancer.
That is scary!!!!

There is no cure, but you can catch it early.
Self exams and a yearly Mammogram.

On the 17th of the month, we designers at Calling All Sistahs come out to you with inspiration reminders to take care of yourself.

Love what I have created?
Need to get your hands on the stamps and dies?
Use the code above at Calling All Sistahs for a nice discount and know that 50% of the proceeds from this collection goes to Breast Cancer Awareness.
