Craft Studio Remodel

Hello......

and welcome to my new craft studio.

For two months I have been working out of cardboard boxes and a folding table. UGH!!!

But the new Kitchen and Studio by A & M Byler Construction in Lake Placid, FL is

FINISHED.

Step through the swinging door to my Happy Place.
(Poor little Snowy hasn't figured out how to crawl beneath that door yet)

This is a fun piece of furniture that I decoupaged with tissue paper and painted checks.
Of course I had to add just a bit of metallic gold.  :)

This is the before

Birdhouse chandelier was so fun to make. Same tissue paper and whimsical paints.
Yes I am OCD and can't stand that hubby hung the darn thing off center.....
One of these days when he is not around, I will fix that. :)
(that door is for emergency only purposes...mostly I got it for all the light it lets in)

My creation on the cover of CardMaker magazine....I hate that they closed it down. :(
And as you probably know, I am a Breast Cancer survivor, so that is a dedicated shelf to some of the things people gave me pertaining to the PINK movement.

My desk!
I stand to craft, so I was beyond thrilled to find these fun tall dressers at Ikea.
Beautiful granite counter tops that are soooo easy to clean.

My sewing table.
I love that it can be raised or lowered with just a push of a button on the glass top.
Again, don't be surprised when you find me standing to sew.
Are you loving the spool holder? My sweet hubby made that for me.

ETA: The Singer has been replaced with a Juki 2200QVP mini for my bag making.
Goes through layers like butter!

Have you figured out yet that I am obsessed with Black & White checks????

This is the new addition to my original craft room.
On the left are two large closets.
Lights automatically turn on when I open the doors. FUN!
More of those wonderful dressers and a sink to wash paint brushes.

Just a peek into the closet.
As you can see, I kept my cubicles, but now they are hidden behind closed doors.
Everything has a place and I don't have to look at it. :)

In the other closet are my stamps. dies and DT shipments by month or manufacturer.
I have to be organized!!!

My small "island".
Everything I need for sewing and when I need more room, I just clean off all those lovely counter tops.

No craft room is complete without a place to take photos.

So there you have it.

I LOVE my new craft studio.
I truly am spoiled, but so worth it...don't you think?

Edited to add:  I had someone ask about the flooring, but I can not reply to her comment.
So here goes.... The flooring is Mohawk Cool Concrete plank vinyl flooring.

Thanks so much for stamping by...

It is beautiful buddy! You so deserve it. Can’t wait to come and do some more crafting, but I might be afraid I might strain something. . ❤️
