Joy Clair, Die-Versions & DL.Art Hop

The Design team of Joy Clair have collaborated with two awesome companies: Die-Versions and DL.ART to bring you a fun and festive Celebration Blog Hop.
Great stamps from Joy Clair, new intricate dies from Die-Versions and to tie it altogether we are using oh so cute ribbon from DL.ART.

The Celebration Hop will take place today, tomorrow and Friday. The Design Team members will be sharing projects for all the many celebrations that come this time of year, ie...Weddings, Baby Showers, Graduations, etc. See how well these products work together while visiting each Designer on the hop.

There will be prizes for those who comment on all the blogs over the three days and who become followers of each blog (Just click My Talented Friends over on the right).
Prizes will be announced on all three company blogs: Joy Clair, Die-Versions, DL.Art
Sunday May 22nd.

You should have arrived here from the wonderful Anne Temple's blog, if not, then please start at the beginning of the hop at Joy Clair.

I cut the baby bottle with my Silhouette Cameo, but really it would be easy enough to do by hand.

The adorable Bib from Die-Versions was die cut then tied to the neck of the bottle with that wonderful crinkly Mint ribbon from DL.Art.

Sentiment from the Joy Clair Oh Baby set was stamped with matching ink, trimmed the ends then ran the long edges of the banner along the ink pad for a little interest.

More Cowbell with The Project Bin

Hey there....

Just to let you know that I am a huge Tampabay Rays fan!

A few years ago when Joe Maddon was the coach, he always insisted that the Rays needed "more Cowbell". What that means I have no idea, other than it was a skit from Saturday Night Live. :)

So the fans bring and ring their Cowbells at the games.
(Isn't it convenient that I live close enough to attend the games?!?)

I was thoroughly excited to see this phrase on the stamp set Bazinga by The Project Bin.

Of course my card had to do with baseball.
A sliver of pattern paper and a die cut of threads on a baseball.
Cowbell was found on the big World Wide Web, fussy cut and slathered with Glossy Accents.

Make sure to check out all the super cute sentiments on the Bazinga stamp set:

The Project Bin:  Bazinga stamp set
Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko:  VersaFine Majestic Blue ink
Die-Versions:  Baseball Stitch die (oops...no longer available)
TBR Pattern paper
Ranger:  Glossy Accents

My Happy Place

Hey, how's it going?.....

I love the challenges at Scrapy Land and this weeks...was a challenge!!!
I am just not a Steampunk kind of crafter, but at least I gave it a shot.

The background is stamped with Envelope Pattern using VersaFine Majestic Blue ink.
The Woodgrain stencil was eBrushed with Copic markers.
I then cut an opening on each panel and used a lighter to burn the edges.

A scrap of Acrylic was used to cover the backside of opening and sentiment was stamped with StazOn ink.
Keys were die cut and inked with Delicata Golden Glitz, Bronze Burst and Celestial Copper.
Distressing tool was used on card edges and then a small section of corner was rolled.

Ombre Wedding

Hey there....

While hunting for some fun challenges to enter, I ran across the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge that wants something that makes you think of summer. Besides Lemonade, June always makes me think about June brides.
Though I probably would have used a color besides green for my ombre wedding card, the good people at Sparkle and Shine Challenge have a photo inspiration and their wedding cake is green, so I just went with it.

This card also qualifies at the Virginia's View Challenge with the ombre background.

After I was finished putting the card together, I decided I quite like it.

That wonderful background weave is a new folder by We R Memory Keepers.
eBrushed the background with Copic markers
A die cut doily, a little stamping, some thread and sequins finished the wedding card.
I tend to give more elegant cards for weddings, but for a fun beach wedding, this would be perfect!

Challenges Entered:
Sparkle and Shine  -  Photo inspiration
Virginia's View  -  Ombre
Scrapy Land  -  Anything Goes w/ a die cut

OWH Memorial Day Blog Hop

Happy Memorial Day weekend....

The Design Team over at Words 2 Scrap By wanted to honor our brave men and women, so we are participating in the Memorial Day Blog Hop at Operation Write Home.

You can see what the rest of the team came up with by clicking on the banner below:

The theme is Red, White and Blue and I chose to use Sketch #254 from OWH for my card.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to make the red & white "stripes".
My favorite doily was die cut, then I made a Rosette from Navy blue card stock and cut in half.

Small strips of silver, gold, and stripes were placed beneath the Rosette.
Sentiment was stamped with StazOn Cotton White onto Vellum.

Many thanks for stamping by today...

Many thanks to our Heros who never returned home.
Because of you, we still live in the Land of the Free.

XOXO & hugs

Hello, hello....

Playing with my eBrush today and decided to join a couple of challenges.

With a stencil and a few markers, using the eBrush is sooooo easy!
I even have an attachment where I can use liquids in my eBrush (instead of markers), so I can use reinkers, paint, food coloring, etc.

Today I went for an ombre effect , a large die cut and this one is just easy peasy!

I added irRESISTible Pico Shimmer to the large sentiment for a little something, something!

The adorable XOXO was die cut and adhered to the main sentiment. Too cute!!!

Challenges Entered:
Winnie & Walter  -  Geometric

Let's go Shopping:
Simon Says Stamp:  Chevron Pattern Stencil
Winnie & Walter:  In a Word digital cuts

Mother's Day

Woo to the Hoo ...it's Friday!!!

Squeezing this little card into a couple of challenges before I hand it off to a friend this weekend.
My inspiration came from the challenge at The Card Concept:

I love the tag with the roses, my blue stripes are actually the alphabet (what mom hasn't sung that song a gazillion times?)

Dotted ribbon on the tag and Sheer Shimmer Frost sprayed onto my favorite doily die.
Sentiment is computer generated, then heat set with foil.
This clean and graphic card would be suitable for any mom in your life.

Challenges Entered:
The Card Concept  -  Photo Inspiration
Die-Versions  -  Mother's Day with a die

Let's go Shopping:
Die Versions:  Star Tag die, Heart Burst die
