Legend in Leather with The Project Bin

Hello....

How about a leather look for a card.
Are you in agreement or not?

As I am inking the embossed Kraft panel, I really like the look I was creating with a bit of Distress inks.

The Cowgirl Up stamp set from The Project Bin has several wonderful sentiments to use on cards and scrapbook pages that involve...Cowgirls!

I particularly love this sentiment I have used because ....
Hey...it is so true!!!

Embossed background inked with Frayed Burlap & Vintage Photo.
Sentiment has been heat set then die cut with Stitched Party Banners.
Looped some Natural Jute and added a few rolled flowers.

Provo Craft:  Paisley embossing folder
Impression Obsession:  Spiral Flowers
Imagine Crafts:  VersaFine Onyx Black ink, Clear embossing powder
Ranger:  Distress inks Frayed Burlap, Vintage Photo & Black Soot
Lawn Fawn:  Stitched Party Banners die
Natural Jute

Autumn Tree with The Project Bin

Hello....

I do love making cards for Fall. Love, love, love the colors!!!!

AND

Have you purchased the new Delicata Celestial Copper ink?
OH MY WORD!!!!!

As you know, shimmer does not show up well in photos, but if you will trust me, you are going to want this ink pad.
Frame and sentiment were coated to give this card a little something, something!

Is that sentiment just too adorable for card making and scrapping photos of the season?!?

I love how Denise over at The Project Bin always slips in a stamp or two that can be used all year long. :)

Autumn leaves are die cuts from watercolor paper. They were sprinkled and spritzed with Lindys Magicals.
Green leaves were cut with Silhouette Cameo.

Aqua Birthday

Hello, hello....

Playing in a couple of challenges today with this creation.

I started by selecting my colors & layout because of these challenges:

Then, knowing I wanted to play in a couple of Penny Black Challenges, I started stamping my flower.

I really only wanted the flower to have any color, but once the panel was done, it just needed a little something, so I painted the offset chevron to match.

I love how the color really pops with all the soft Grays and Black.
I love using Penny Black brushstrokes stamps to achieve a watercolor look without being a painter. :)
Take a closer look at the sentiment. That is the new Delicata Black Shimmer ink....
you want this in your stash!

Penny Black:  Gentle Whisper, Script & Sprinkles and Smiles stamps
We R Memory Keepers:  Quilt folder
Spellbinders:  Classic Edges One
Kuretake Brush Pens
Imagine Crafts:  Delicata Black Shimmer ink
Lawn Fawn:  Gray twine

Eat Sleep Sail with The Project Bin

Hi...

Do you have a Sailor in your life?
You are going to love this newly released stamp set called Anchors Away by The Project Bin.

I have been sailing on a small boat one time in my life.
Once was enough for me.
Now give me a big Cruise line and I am there!
However, I do have friends and family that enjoy it so I know exactly who this card will be sent to.

The sentiments on Anchors Away not only work well on a card, but would be super adorable on a layout!

With my card it was just a matter of ink blending on white card stock, stamping the sentiment then framing it.

I did emboss the top frame with a wood grain folder, then added a sailors knot (thank you Mr. Google for the how-to).

As you know from reading past blog posts here that "manly" cards are the hardest for me.
How about you?

Ok...let's just admit that I nailed this one!!!

Simon Says Stamp Monday  -  Emboss it

The Project Bin:  Anchors Away
Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko:  VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink
Ranger:  Distress inks Broken China, Squeezed Lemonade, Salty ocean
Provo Craft:  Woodgrain embossing folder
Pretty Pink Posh:  Clear dots
Lawn Fawn:  Retro Twine

Anchors Away with The Project Bin

Ahoy there matey...

The good folks at The Project Bin have done it again.
Just check out this stamp set:

These stamps are going to make such super cute cards and layouts for those that love sailing.
However this particular sentiment can be used on projects that really have nothing to do with sailing, but more for encouragement.

This card is quite easy to reproduce as it involves a lot of pattern paper.
Circles were cut with my handy dandy Silhouette Cameo, but really, any circle die would work.

Sentiment from the newly released Anchors Away set was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink, then the wheel was coated with Glossy Accents.

Of course not being a sailor myself, I had to peruse the internet to find out how to tie the twine.
Gotta love Google!

The Project Bin:  Anchors Away stamp set
Authentique:  Anchored 6 x 6 pad
Lawn Fawn:  Metallic White twine
Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko:  VersaFine Onyx Black ink

Thanks so much for sailing by today...

More Cowbell with The Project Bin

Hey there....

Just to let you know that I am a huge Tampabay Rays fan!

A few years ago when Joe Maddon was the coach, he always insisted that the Rays needed "more Cowbell". What that means I have no idea, other than it was a skit from Saturday Night Live. :)

So the fans bring and ring their Cowbells at the games.
(Isn't it convenient that I live close enough to attend the games?!?)

I was thoroughly excited to see this phrase on the stamp set Bazinga by The Project Bin.

Of course my card had to do with baseball.
A sliver of pattern paper and a die cut of threads on a baseball.
Cowbell was found on the big World Wide Web, fussy cut and slathered with Glossy Accents.

Make sure to check out all the super cute sentiments on the Bazinga stamp set:

The Project Bin:  Bazinga stamp set
Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko:  VersaFine Majestic Blue ink
Die-Versions:  Baseball Stitch die (oops...no longer available)
TBR Pattern paper
Ranger:  Glossy Accents

for Emily

Hi there...

I have made this card and will be sending it to Jennifer McGuire so she can pass it onto a little girl named Emily who is going through Cancer treatments.
As part of Jennifer's #sharehandmadekindness Challenge, she is doing a card shower for this little girl as well as others.

I wanted to make something with critters, and what child doesn't love seeing their name in print?
I foiled her name, stamped the critters, and did a critter walk across the top.

I am hoping little Emily will enjoy my handmade love.
