Mother, Fathers & Florals with Simon Says Stamp

Hello there....

It's release day at Simon Says Stamp!!

Such wonderful background stamps in the
Mothers, Fathers & Florals release.

Heidi and her team were kind enough to send me the Flora Background stamp to play with.

For those that love to color...
this is the stamp for you!

As you can tell by my card, I stamped, heat embossed and watercolored just a select few of the petals.

I then die cut the center out, leaving me a lot of white space for my sentiment.

Flower from one of my favorite SSS sets, Vellum die cut leaves and a bit of string for a pop of color against all the purple.

Sistahood Holiday Hop

Hello....

and Welcome to the December Blog Hop with Cas-ual Friday's.

This hop is all about getting the word out for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Women don't just get Breast Cancer in October you know!

So each month on the 17th, card designers from all over the world get together for special inspiration to get the word out.

On my card I used the "hope" sentiment on pattern paper ornaments.
I just can't get enough PLAID!!!!!

Now for the business.....
I am a Breast Cancer Survivor!

Had a mammogram in July 2013, found a lump in October 2013.
That is how fast cancer can grow.
The sisthas are gone and I certainly don't miss them.
Six rounds of chemo and a year of Herceptin treatments.
It was no picnic, but I am here and grateful!

Now...go check yourself!

Make sure to comment on each stop of the hop as there are prizes to be won.
Three (3) $15 gift certificates will be awarded to lucky crafters.
You must comment by 12-19-16 to be eligible.

Your next stop on the hop is:

If you need to start at the beginning of the hop click HERE.

 one last thing....
would you like to be a part of this hop next month? Leave that in the comments also and I will get you all the info. 😃😃😃

a Felt Star tag

Hi....

Couldn't resist making a little something for the Feminine Tag Challenge at Ellen Hutson.

Though this tag would qualify for the Country Christmas theme, since it is made of Felt, I went with Day 4 of the challenge.

Confession....Twirl the wire at the top into a hook and you have an ornament, 😊

Die cut star from felt two times and stitch together.
Die cut Poinsettia from felt and adhere to star.
Stamp sentiment onto felt with Delicata White Shimmer ink.
Add rusted wire and twirl it for a little something, something!

Ellen Hutson:  Santa's Flight stamp
Memory Box:  Plush Puffy Stars die, Fanciful Poinsettia die
Thread
Rusted wire
Tiny button

Snowflake Savior with The Project Bin

Hi....

An elegant card for an elegant verse.

The LUKE 2 stamp set from The Project Bin is superb for card making, journaling or scrapbooking:

On my card it is a matter of stamping the sentiment with red ink and heat setting with clear embossing powder.

I matted that with white cardstock, adding a bit of red Copic marker on one corner.
Pop this up with foam adhesive to a White card base.

Two ribbons die cut from red and white cardstocks.
Die cut snowflake and a bit of red string.

Memory Box:  Grosgrain Ribbons, Snowflake Joy dies
Imagine Crafts:  VersaFine Satin Red ink, Clear embossing powder
Copic marker: R46
May Arts:  Red Burlap String

Hello.....

As November is about to become a distant memory, I think I am also winding down on the Christmas cards.
Seems like I have been making them since July.

Today's card is going into a couple of challenges.

Poinsettia was stamped onto watercolor paper with Memento markers. A little Stardust Stickles on some of the leaves and Glossy White Crystal Drops for the flower center.

Falling Snow stencil and Whipped Spackle mixed with Snow Cone Gelatos for the top portion of the card. Die cut on a curve because you know I LOVE that!
Pattern paper from I don't know where for the bottom. :)

So Grateful with The Project Bin

Hi....

Here I go again with the unusual colors.
I am sure by now you have come to expect it!  :)

Using the Autumn's Calling stamp set by The Project Bin:

There are a couple of stamps included for all year long.
Or maybe you love those swirls for a birthday greeting.
Think outside the SEASON!

Top portion of card is stencil, then inked
Bottom portion is just cardstock that has been embossed.

Leaf was cut oversized with Silhouette Cameo so I could include the greeting on it.
Leaf is watercolor paper with Lindy's Magicals.
A large swirl of twine behind the leaf.

Silhouette Cameo
Imagine Crafts:  VersaMark ink, White embossing powder
Memory Box:  Falling Maple stencil
Ranger:  Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserves inks
May Arts:  Grape Burlap String
Simon Says Stamp:  Moonshine sequins
