4th of July

                                    july 4th

Hello my scrappy friends, today and I am featuring a 4th of July card. If you live in the United States, there is no better color combination than Red, White & Blue. This will be a great card to send to a friend or family, but why not visit your local Retirement community and give it to a Veteran. They would really appreciate the card and the visit. So…………….

Let’s Make a Card

Start with a card base cut from Red card stock at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.
Cut a piece of white card stock just a bit smaller than the base. Using an ink blusher (sponge applicator) swirl red and blue ink around the card stock until you have your desired effect. Attach to card base.

With the Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge you will want to cut a 4th of July frame from blue card stock that measures just a bit smaller than the base. Attach to card base. Cut another frame from patterned paper. Now alter this cut out of patterned paper so you only have the 4th of July part. Attach this on top of the blue frame with foam adhesive as shown.

Using the same Cricut cartridge cut fireworks from blue, red, and glitter card stock. Add Stickles as desired.
Glue two fireworks to base and attach two fireworks with foam adhesive.

Finish the card by applying faux stitching lines around the perimeter of the card and adding coordinated buttons as shown.

I hope you will come back and visit again real soon for new ideas and inspiration.
