Fairytale

Hello my scrappy friends…today I have a card I made for the Guest DT position at My Favorite Things. They have beautiful dies and some of the cutest stamps for card making. I really love the stamp you see pictured above…so perfect for a wedding or anniversary card.

I also wanted to make note of the “flower” on this card. In the SCS newsletter this week, were instructions on how to make a flower from a tissue. SUPER easy, and look how adorable it turned out. LOVE !!!

Ruffled lace is easy to do. Cut the lace 2 times longer than the width of the card. Run Scor-Tape along the center, smoosh lace together about every 1/2 inch, wrap ends to back of panel.

Hope you are having a crafty day &

Best Part of my Day

Happy Friday my scrappy friends…..
Off to the cottage this weekend to see my grandbabies, but wanted to post this before I go away. Haven’t seen my grandsons in a month and I am sure by now they are in high school and playing baseball. (OK they are only 2 years & 7 months old respectively, but they grow up so fast).

My 35th Anniversary is Super Bowl Sunday and I am hoping the man I married will like this card. Yes, it is a little girly…that’s why I made the Roses blue…but I like it!!!

Image is from Penny Black
Vine die cut is from Cherry Lynn Designs

In Memory Of……

Selected as a Favorite of the Week at SplitCoast Stampers

Hello my scrappy friends….
Recently a friend went to heaven and this is the personalized Sympathy card I made for the family. I love to put something a little special on cards I send to friends…don’t you?

He was a Police Officer and I found the tiny handcuffs in the bead department of my local craft store. (Needless to say, as my husband is a Police Officer, I bought all they had…so don’t go to Joann’s in Palm Harbor, FL. : )

All the patterned paper is MME Lost & Found II - Sunshine.
Sentiment is Stampendous - Orchid Greetings
Butterfly cut twice from Silhouette
Small Banner Die - Simon Says Stamp
His photo was fussy cut twice and popped up with foam adhesive.

Operation Write Home

I’m baaaack…from the slopes of Vail, CO…and in one piece. It was BITTERLY cold, but we had so much fun.
Have you been to OWH Boot Camp? They have a wonderful blog post about using color in your cards and layouts.

The card pictured above is a Monochromatic and I am entering it unto their blog.
Card base was painted with OPI Bogota Blackberry nail polish, as was the Butterfly. Scor-Tape was applied to back of ribbon and pinched together to ruffle. (Ribbon was from a box of candy my sister and I shared in Vail). Sentiment from Stampendous was heat embossed with Rose Quartz embossing powder. Pearl hat pin and burgundy seed pearls were added for the antenna.
