Earth has Music

Hello friends and Happy April...

The months are flying by so fast.

I am on the Words 2 Scrap By blog today as they launch a new challenge.
The theme is "The Earth has Music for those who listen".
Come on over and check out the rest of the Design Team Inspiration and play along:

This may look like any old Sympathy card to you, but you are going to love how I made that dove embellishment.

Does that top dove on this saved Christmas card look familiar?
Yep...I save Christmas cards from friends and family that I think have potential for recycling.
Some of you are going "been there, done that" and some of you are looking forward to receiving Christmas cards in about 8 months.  :)

The back ground is a stencil I cut with my Silhouette Cameo, then eBrushed.
Dove was trimmed and popped onto card with foam adhesive.
Sentiment and edges of card were inked with Delicata Golden Glitz (the best metallic gold ink pad....anywhere).

Let's go Shopping:
White card stock
Silhouette Online Store: Stencil file #38279
Penny Black:  Eloquence stamp set
Imagine Crafts featuring Tsukineko:  Delicata Golden Glitz ink pad
Copic markers
eBrush
Silhouette Cameo

Thanks so much for stamping by...

Just stunning, Penny! I save Christmas cards too with every intention of using someday. You've inspired me to actually do that 😊 Annie

What a beautiful way to re-purpose! I love the background - what does e-brush mean? This technique junkie needs to know!

I save cards to recycle, but seldom actually use them--you've inspired me, Penny! Delicata Golden Glitz IS absolutely the most wonderful gold ink--beautifully used here! Thanks for your sweet comment. Wishing you a lovely Easter. Hugs, Greta

Hi, Penny!

I don't know which element I'm more in love with -- that gorgeous background or that lovely recycled/upcycled dove. Regardless, this is one stunning card!

So glad that you are a partner in craft at Words 2 Scrap By!

What a creative and clever lady you are!! Recycling your Christmas cards -I would never have known it wasn't purposely stamped in the same colors and made especially for this card!! One thing I think you do really well is sympathy cards - they always have such a feeling of peace and hopefulness!! So impressed!! Hope you have a wonderful night!!
