Tissue Box Cover with Crafter's Companion

Oh. My. Word......

How stinkin' gorgeous is this tissue box cover?!?
Are you allowed to say that about your own creations?

Oh Well......

Using a template from the Silhouette Design Store for the actual box, I then cut panels and embossed them to cover the top and sides.

Using Dark Gray cardstock, I embossed with the Ornate Lace folder, then used Silver Gilding Wax to rub on the raised area.

Let me just say that the Gilding Wax is my new best friend...just wish it came in a multitude of colors.

A pretty Aged Rose die using Matte Silver Luxury cardstock along with Silver Glitter Luxury cardstock for the leaf.

This one is actually being sent to Home Shopping Network for their May 9th show, but you can rest assured I will be making another for my new bathroom.

All Things are Possible

Hello, hello....

Do you Bible Journal?

I have really enjoyed this new form of art in the last year and I love sharing my pages with you.
By no means am I an artist where I can draw or paint....
However, He did give me the crafty gene.

When I saw the Fairy Flutters stamp at Penny Black, I thought they would make adorable Angels.

The page was protected by sliding a clipboard underneath, then I used Clear Gesso and let dry.
The sky is just a matter of tearing computer paper into a cloud shape to form a mask, then swiping VersaMagic Aspen Mist ink across.

Angel was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink, sentiment from All Great Things set with VersaFine Imperial Purple.
Colored pencils for the Angel.
Copic markers with an eBrush using a diecut as a mask at the bottom of page.

Just so you know...I can't stand a wrinkled page.
Yes, I am admitting that I ironed the page smooth when I was done journaling.

💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Look for something REALLY exciting coming to this blog on
Friday May 5th.

I. Cannot. Wait.

Happy Mother's Day

Hello, hello...

Just playing today in one of my favorite challenges:

Ellen Hutson Pin-Sights:

I spy with my little eye...Purple flowers

Using the Mondo Magnolia stamp on watercolor paper, and Spectrum Noir Aqua markers.
Have you tried them? I really likey!!!

Fussy cut the flower to fit over the corner of card front.

Sentiment from the Amazing Women stamp set was heat embossed.

Dropped some sequins and glued them where they landed. :)

Shutter Card with Crafter's Companion

Hello there....

Wedding season is just around the corner....
How about a beautiful Shutter Card to wish the lucky couple every happiness?!?

The unique die cut to make this card will be available on
Home Shopping Network starting May 9th.

The Create-a-Card Shutter Card die comes with the main die ( to make the shutter shape) as well as the intricate dies and plain rectangle dies. There are so many die cut combinations you could apply to your own card.

Heavyweight White cardstock will be available that day also, as well as the Sky Blue Metallic cardstock I used on my card.

As you can see I have completely fallen love with the Foil Transfers (again, available on HSN May 9th) as well as the Aged Roses & Filigree Flourish dies.

Doesn't the Shutter Card make a beautiful presentation for a wedding or anniversary?

Mark your calendars.....
HSN
May 9th

Calling All Sistahs

Happy day to you.....

It is the 17th of the month and that means I am here to remind you to check the Sistahs and give you a little card inspiration.

The good folks at CAS-ual Fridays have created wonderful stamps for card making and scrapbooking geared towards Breast Cancer awareness.

You do know that Breast Cancer effects one in eight women.

It affected ME!

I never gave up HOPE!

Even in the worst two days of my life:
Thursday November 21, 2013 - I received the bad news that I had Breast Cancer
Friday November 22, 2013 - I held my mothers hand as she passed away.

Even knowing that I wouldn't have my mothers support for what I was about to go through...
I never lost HOPE!

So.....
Make sure you check the Sistahs monthly and have a mammogram once a year.
There is no cure yet, but you can catch it early!

Now go check out what the others designers from all over the world have created for you today:

Circle Swing Card with Crafter's Companion

Hello.....

Have you wanted to make a "swing" card, but felt intimidated?!?

Coming to a TV near you on May 9th is this wonderful, made for you, simply die cut it...
Circle Centre Card.

You all know that my favorite color combo is Navy and Lime, so I just had to make one!

Now check out the 3D embossing:

Besides the Create a Card Circle die, you are going to want to pick up some Silver Gilding Wax.
Simply rub it across your embossed area and wala...Silver Shiny Goodness!

Thank You sentiment circle comes with the bundle, but they have other sentiments available that of course are a must have. 😀

I fancied my card up a little with flowers coated with Sparkle Sand markers and a couple of Corsage pins.

The ideas are limitless for this wonderful interactive die cut.

Circles not your thing...
I hear they will be featuring another version of a swing card.

Mark your calendar for May 9th on
Home Shopping Network.

You just might see this card as well as a few others I made especially for this program.
